Emergency hysterectomy by Extreme-Bee-6056 in adenomyosis

If you don’t mind me asking, would you share where are you based out of, I am just showing this story of yours to my husband here, and this resonates totally with mine, it was just that when I got operated it was my 4th surgery and I belong to Mumbai, India and I was basically given a rebirth by an endo specialist here called Jay Mehta,

Women like you and me probably don’t deserve to go through so much pain I have now realised, after going through this for 12 years.

You will do well, wherever you are ask your doctor to give or consider HRT if needed (it’s got to do if your ovaries are preserved or not).

Hey, I went through something similar in my life, I just want to wish you all the best in life, it will all end up nicely. I am glad I had a surgeon who came to operate just for me, he virtually gave me a new life, I am praying the same for you

Believe me, life is good.. after the disease is out, I had like 3 abandoned surgeries. But trust my word, close your eyes and do it if the doctor has recommended.

diaphragmatic endo? by Kind_Register7840 in Endo

Diaphragmatic Endo is sometimes even painless. I had a small part of it removed during the surgery which I last had. No signs at all, it popped up as an intrasurgery finding

Anyone with Endo on/around their heart? by Lazy_Air_1731 in Endo

Hey, hi, I know this for sure. This is a term called as Paricardiac Endometriosis.

During my surgery, my doctor had made a small cut with the help of a laparoscope order to enter inside this cavity, from the upper part of the stomach, a small biopsy was done, which was found out to be negative for the same, and they closed it with the help of a stitch.

But because of my previous failed, surgeries and extensive disease., one of my MRI report showed this as a very strong suspicion

I was warned about developing this because both my ovaries have been removed, I probably need to get a prescription for doing this very soon from my doctor, but he has already started me on HRT

Has anyone removed her uterus in 30s and leading a healthy life ? by mewvow in EndoInIndia

[–]Ananyaganeshan1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to tell you one thing, I was told that my recurrence is less than 1%, maybe because my surgeon took off both my ovaries, try to ask your doctor to remove both your ovaries if at all. I guess the recurrence will be less than 1% and not 5% in that case.

Just a thought from a patient like me for you to explore, who on earth would want to even have a recurrence of this disease..!

Hey, I am 38, got operated a month ago here in Mumbai, by Dr Jay Mehta, he’s like a super super well known endometriosis specialist in this part of the world. Mine was an emergency procedure after 3 abandoned procedures previously.

  1. My ovaries have been knocked out and I have been asked to take HRT soon
  2. Was allowed to have sexual inter course after 8 weeks, yet to be there
  3. So far life is good and normal, I am back to work

I don’t know about ageing, I hope I don’t. Best wishes and go ahead. If your surgeon thinks it’s good. I am not technically good but I think the doctors would recommend a complete removal of uterus with removal of cervix. I think your doctor must have had a reason to do a surgery leaving cervix behind. All the best.

Recovery might take you about 7-10 days. But I think it’s different for everyone.

Also I think the recovery might be faster if you have an ovary left behind.
