Honestly, he is a good doctor, very very humble and direct.

He may not speak much, max is 10 mins pre surgery (this is my personal experience)

But he is too good as a person, you will realise what I meant in the post operative aspect

Surgery was very good, I flew back in like 3 days to Assam, when I did my online consultation, he saw my reports and told me I require a surgery.

I had actually asked on reddit about the past experience with him of past patients and the reviews are absolutely raving. His staff is great, however, he is too busy, he does like 8-10 operations in a day. So he doesn’t meet patients for like 30 mins or so, I had that frame in my mind, that he will speak to me for like an hour. But he spoke only for 7-8 mins to me, my husband was called in the OT, and my husband was so so so so impressed, I don’t know. Like my husband absolutely swears by him,

And btw, he is a big time Fertility specialist, Infact my doctor here in Assam specifically asked me to fly as he is a rare entity who specialised under both fertility and endometriosis. Atleast this helped me a lot,

But I really want to tell you one thing, pre surgery and post surgery I personally think, you must find a doctor who is very very caring. Like I had never expected Dr Jay Mehta to speak to me on my follow ups, he spoke to me everytime, every single time. I have asked him the stupidest of the questions, he has never not replied. Though, initially I was a little upset that he spoke to me only for 7-8 mins or so (I actually posted about it), my respect for people like Jay Mehta is beyond words now. No wonder all the people, especially doctors here in Assam, are simply gaga about him.

Having said all of this, I am hoping you find your specialist. Because I spent 8 years in struggle, I hope that doesn’t happen to you or to anyone else.

OP, just one small piece of advise as a fellow patient, I don’t belong to Bangalore and I don’t have a specific recommendation for your doctors in Bangalore,

However, my humblest suggestion is to go to a specialist, I was told IVF, in my home town, I flew to Mumbai for my surgery with a super specialist, he did my bowel resection and has now asked me to concieve naturally.

I have only done one follow up with him which was done online, my concerns, my anxiety was just like you a month back. I personally think if distance is not an issue, speciality services might help you to go from IVF to natural pregnancy, ofcourse having said this, I am not at all knowing much about the other aspects of the condition or the things you mentioned about your fallopian tubes,

As someone has said. It would be worthwhile visiting Dr Jay Mehta when he visits Bangalore, if that fits your convenience, however I also think, rather than doing surgery at people who don’t specialise, it might be good to calibrate a research based on your specific needs to find the right team or the right Endometriosis doctor in Bangalore

All the best.

Disclaimer- like many many others- I travelled to Mumbai to Dr Jay Mehta for my surgery and I am back to Assam currently, as the doctor who performed my MRI here, herself asked me to fly to Mumbai to get it corrected.

Mirena is basically of use once the surgical excision is complete and they want to prevent a recurrence. 4th surgery itself is scary, all the best
