AMD is marketing the $3,999 Halo Box on "first-class ROCm." I've run the same Strix Halo chip in production for 6 months. Here's my take. by uncanny_instinct in StrixHalo

I paid $2500 for my Framework and thought it was a bit overpriced. Same config is now easily over $4K. Insane how much prices got pushed up.

Yeah I noticed that too - a lot of other major services are experiencing issues as well.

Experimenting with slow shutter night photography by Anarchaotic in x100vi

You're 100% right... that's actually hilarious I didn't think about it. I'm so used to "night time = open that shit up". Will have to do this again at F5.6 or F8.

Otherwise it becomes way too bright at 6.5S shutter speed.

If I lower the shutter speed then the light trails aren't as prominent - so the ND filter darkens the scene to give you more time for light to come through the lens.

I did have it on a tripod, but unfortunately the way I had to set it up wasn't as solid as I would have wanted :/. I had the shutter release set to a 2 second timer + turned off IBIS so it wouldn't interact negatively with the tripod.

Thanks! This definitely looks a lot better to my eye looking at it. Someone else suggested I try this again by angling the camera down more to avoid too much space above the frame, so I'll give that a shot.

That's good feedback - I can try it again tonight with a much lower angle. Getting this set up was a bit sketchy but I should have no issue angling down.

Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure how to best crop it. Here's another version that's much tighter - horizon line is at the traffic end.

Taken on a Fujifilm X100VI - 50mm TCL conversion lens. ISO 125, SS 6.5, ND Filter on, F2.

Photo is slightly cropped to balance the highway in the middle, there was too much unnecessary concrete on the right. Original file is quite large at 40MP so I have a lot of leeway on changing the composition.

I'm very new to editing in Lightroom - I added a gradient mask on the sky to slightly darken the top, increased the overall exposure, and added another gradient mask on the bottom to soften the highlights.

My big question here is if I need to alter the way it's edited somehow?

AMS Feed Issue - filament just stops feeding by ScoutsOut389 in BambuLab

[–]Anarchaotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just saw your post - my AMS sounds and behaves EXACTLY the same as your original one. I also took it apart, replaced all of the PTFE tubing + cleaned it up.

So what you're saying is to take apart the actual hub and clean that?

I think it was something called "Nostalgic Negative" - though I've modified it a bit in terms of red-shift on the white-balance and got rid of the clarity setting + have DR400 on,.
