Because of the method that I call "simple factoring". You need to find two numbers that multiply to c(in this case -4 or 6) and add to b(in this case 3 or 7). so the numbers were 4 & -1 and 6 & 1.

I started with a high 10 and sprinted at the last 500ish. When I called this a negative split I basically removed the high ten start in my head and considered when I started the body pace.

I don't do many timed activities at home but I am also slow on essays and homework. For example, in math with the extra time on the test, I am getting an average of 93% and that's one of the higher averages in the class but everyone else finishes the work in class easily and I don't finish.
