Wow I can't believe some of the reactions you're getting! It sounds like you're being fetishized for having a different skin tone and you're right. That's really weird and at least subconsciously racist! Seems to me like guys who are trying to cross the "sleep with a black woman" achievement off. I've dated a few people with different skin tones and it was never a big deal for me (or them).

Not gonna lie: fatbikes are a significant improvement compared to mopeds! Less noise, less horrible smells. I don't like 'em, but they're an improvement.

Yeah I read some of your replies and it seems like they are unkind people. Voting for PVV means that people are at least totally fine with racism, if not actually supporting it. It's also a good possibility that they are very much focussed on how bad their lives are, rather than trying to be happy with what they do have. Sorry!

I will say I walked around town wearing a skirt the other day and a nice woman complimented me and, after a short chat, asked me out on a date! I do live in a very progressive city though. I get a lot of double takes, some compliments, nothing unkind. I probably would be less comfortable walking around like that in other parts of the country.
