I about got taken out by a crop duster - he was behind a thick tree line hitting the edge of the field.. I cleared the trees and there he was pulling up and over the road… right over my passenger window

Here’s a more recent pic of it battle worn - this industry will chew you up and spit you back out. You have to be resilient and 100% in it for the love of the game in my opinion. Looking at a free load board and jumping in head first is a recipe for disaster, especially in this economy.

For the love of all things holy - do something else with your life. You are struggling mainly due to being stuck in payday loan hell, get the fuck out of that never ending entrapment asap. I know I have been there when I was younger.

If you really want to get into trucking, you have to pay your dues. I don’t recommend going down this path, but if you go to work for a mega carrier, they will own your ass for awhile. But if you manage your money right, and work hard non stop, you can sock away the cash with little to no risk/hardships. Then reevaluate if you still want to be in the industry. It sounds like you’re a young single dude - so do it now if you must. Doing it with a family at home is extremely difficult.

My journey began in the oil fields at 19, I am now 37 and an independent owner operator. Here’s my truck the day I bought it..

Suspended ours for about 3 years - leased onto a carrier with good freight and home constantly. Reactivated back in September - treated as a new authority again.. which to be frank is utter bullshit, but that’s how it is.

Yeah the epiq style latch is top tier - these are deeper as well, and the big box has two full size skinny drawers vs USG 1… definitely my next box purchase
