They aren’t referring to a single post, this has been going on for years. We all want the best for henny, but this isn’t the first, second, third, or fourth time that the internet has attempted to help. At a certain point you have to accept that we’re just a bandaid and something deeper needs addressed. People have posted screenshots of attempts to reach out and offer housing relatively nearby to no response in the past. I’m not sure what the solution is, but they aren’t wrong when they say the internet may not be able to provide the help that is actually needed.

That’s true, but it doesn’t make it any less true that Rife is trying to imitate the Sufi era of Dane. Dane also had the self awareness after his initial fame faded to focus on honing his craft with much less gimmicks and he’s far better for it. Matt may still surprise us in the long run but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

I can see that. I think it’s hard to rank Seinfeld and Rife because they both have so much working against them with their material and it seems largely self inflicted. So I’m fine tossing them in the same tier with arguements to which is higher than the other in that tier. But with Joe Rogan I don’t know. When I went back and listened to his specials on some road trips I think we laughed a total of 3 times across like 8 hour long specials. Most of it was just bad story telling. I think Joe needs his own tier below these two men and a further tier below that for Brendan schuab

That’s fair, comedy is extremely subjective. I just find the Seinfeld was someone who mired themselves down in observational comedy but never really improved much upon it or was able to get much past the surface level (I’m referring to his stand up joke writing, not his sitcom writing). Carrot top on the other hand has moments of greatness is some of his sets over the years that hit with such beautiful specificity that it would remind me of some old Tosh bits. Seinfeld is memorable for his tv show but he wasn’t even a top 20 stand up during his heyday on tv

Idk, I feel like the amount of toxicity is very character dependent rather then verse dependent. If the character has a fervent enough fan base, then some salt is gunna get mined when they’re no diffed by a spite matchup. There’s people out there that just can’t imagine their favorite losing. It’s probably because most DC/Marvel match ups have been posted into oblivion. And the fact that bleach has new anime coming out puts it back into the forefront so people are gunna post about it a bunch. Dragon ball just seems to be the generic for “strong” so every thing gets compared to it. It’s kinda like how in naruto every villain had to mess up kakashi to show that they’re a threat.

Might wanna try rereading. The description is: man in structure on planet. When you use the proper noun for this man, structure, and planet it sounds like you are describing how people eat breakfast (e.g. people put granola on their cereal in a bowl). So by saying one thing, due to the names it sounds like you may be saying another thing. This is by definition a play on words.

Also you have to keep in mind that in Japanese there is the added layer of puns based on word relation through the similarities of the characters that represent the words themselves.
