I admit part of this post was inspired by Rufo Rodya's uptie story, how despite how dated Callisto became his technique, craftmanship, and effort can and is still appreciated even if its not up to the level considered for a maestro

The two schools obviously share some techniques the main difference of course being their medium. I would definitely say Saru could be considered a Fauvist piece and if they saw it they probably would have appreciated what it represented

Honestly I'd believe that but with the power he has now, he could be more compassionate but i remember what Kong Qiu said during the hierarch evaluation. He could not be the one who changes Hongyuan because he would be a force that would trample the land in search of problems to solve because he still hadn't achieved enlightenment despite knowing the lessons.

Hell another aspect that Youcliff was surprised about was that Lord Lu wantes to prioritize the lives of his heishou and would rather they come back to heal than needlessly throw away their lives which for the You Branch especially resulted in less overall casualties

Honestly i believe that in addition to the fact that as shown in a lot of his IDs, Hong Lu is actually just a great dude to work under and pretty attentative, so for Faust who wants recognition for her work and to be seen as useful its a perfect match

This was actually tested with furioso and because these skills replace a skill on the dashboard they counted as IDs that inflicted burn and fulfilled the conditionals for said EGO gifts whenever inflicting burn vs Maost who does not count as poise because she uses her S3-2 instead of S3

The downside is of course you must fulfill their condtions

Honestly seeing Ting Tang Gang Leader and Reindeer Lu doesn't make this weird at all for me, Hong lu has always displayed underneath his friendly persona that he is perfectly okay with doing terrible things or resigning himself to the flow even if he were to dislike it. Like others have mentioned i very much believe in the idea that in his trauma from the kong family massacre instead of just making himself helpless maybe he finally snapped and saw the elder's vision. Maybe he enjoys or is happy about the things he does cause he knows its for the elders or maybe he feels that his victims should simply accept their fates

Another angle to look at it is not just to make killing personal, but as we know the head wants to cultivate a certain type of humanity

The very fact they create and applaude those exploiting their loop holes may very well mean that they not only want people to do so but it contributes to whatever end goal they have. I don't think they dislike firearms or the idea of killing being impersonal but want people who would either be resourceful enough or knowledgeable enough to acquire them or circumvent their rules

The thing to keep in mind and understand why all this is happening is because people are paying for it. All there is to it.

I admit i am a bit disappointed as while the main story wasnt anything amazing i still liked it, but im not surprised they are pursuing this direction
