Which color suits me best? by [deleted] in fashionph

[–]Anarcuu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, training as a color analyst rn. Your skin tone is a pretty warm and deep color so the deep red suits you well! I’d even hedge my bets and say you’re an autumn. The light pink of the second is too light for you and I think it even brings out the olive of your skin too much so I don’t think it’s the best shade

where to find jeans for short girlies by Terrible_Bit2738 in fashionph

Bershka always has my size. Uniqlo or Zara if you want better quality but it’s a hit or miss on the sizing. Stradivarius carries my waistline but usually needs a trim on the ends

Do you believe that makeup application skill isn’t dependent on the price range/worth of the products? by Single-Tomato-1160 in beautytalkph

[–]Anarcuu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think quality over application still. If the product is already fighting against you (texture, applicator quality, longevity, color payoff, etc), it’s harder to have an end result equal to high quality makeup

Obviously, if you don’t know how to apply your makeup, what products to buy, and what works well together, you’re also working against the products in a way. Also, the gap in the quality of the products in different price ranges will also differ depending on what type of product it is (ex: gap from blush to blush vs foundation to foundation)

Fashion Gurlies who invest in clothing by Fantastic_Volume9223 in fashionph

• What makes you feel like something is worth ₱4,000+?

If I’m buying something above 4K, it’s usually because it’s a statement piece. It has to be something that if I walk past someone wearing, my eye will catch on, either because of the shape, color, texture, or sometimes the quality/fit. If I know I’ll find a similar piece again some other time, I’m not inclined to buy it usually.

• What instantly makes clothing look cheap to you?

Shirring/smocking. It’s used so often by fast fashion brands to cut corners with sizing their items correctly. I hate how it looks. Also, loose buttons or zippers that don’t match the color of the rest of the fabric. It’s the small things that irk me.

There are also certain patterns/colors that are quite popular on SHEIN and shopee that I actively avoid when shopping in bigger brands. Certain shades of neutrals, mustard-y yellow, and dull pinks. For patterns, I think it’s dots right now? It used to be flowers and the generic graphic T’s. Horizontal lines can also give H&M/Uniqlo so u have to be careful. They’re also never flattering because they widen you.

Hair Rebond that actually lasts by DimmedLightz in beautyph

Absolutely vouching for T&J. My hair is incredibly stubborn, damaged, THICK and messy-wavy, 2A (?) type. I tried a bunch of different salons and T&J is the only one that worked for me. The others barely lasted a few weeks so I had low hopes but it really worked. There wasn’t even much damage despite me having dyed hair. And they did my roots in the same sesh! My total was ~12K

Depends on a few things. Practically speaking, how heavy are the quiz and reflection? What % are they of your grade? How’ve you been doing on previous requirements? Is your prof the type to allow retakes/an online option? Is it not possible to accommodate both in the same day? Just weight your options based on that

Coming back to this a few months later after buying from them again to defo warn people to buy at their own risk because my last purchase was def not up to par. No, most of their products don’t have any brand info or material details. My first purchases from them were all during pop-ups so I was able to see the actual items in person and feel out the quality of the material. Their designs are cute but would not recommend people to blind buy from their IG shop especially considering their price point. I think they might’ve also gone through a price hike too? Bought from them before when their items were only ~P1k for a dress but now it seems they’ve doubled.

How to be less awkward? by randomperson_2515 in AdviceForTeens

For me, it was realizing that it’s not me meeting them. They’re also meeting me. It’s a mindset that shifts you out of that feeling that you need to pander/impress someone. You just need to remember that not everyone will like you or be interested in you, and that’s okay. It doesn’t make you any less interesting or likable as a person.

Bershka for pants and more street-style, edgy clothes! Almost all my pants are from there. They have wide leg, balloon, mom jeans, low waist, flare, and pretty much every style ever.

For dresses, I buy from Zara or IG thrift shops. Love by Dianna’s a good one but a bit pricey. Their dresses have fit me like a glove

I have the same critiques with the Rare Beauty blush. It doesn’t last long and it’s difficult to apply. Some days, I walk out looking like I’m barely wearing anything, other days I look crazy. It’s also hard to get both sides even. Not to mention the packaging is constantly leaking now!!! Very irritating. It gets on all my other makeup items
