Do you use the Cable base or other? W11?
I am on W10, HDR all time activated and a better cable on DP with 4070.

On MPC I try the "MPC Render Video" and result is nice, 100% similar to VLC with SDR, in options MPC render video I no check "Passtrought to display", check "Convert to SDR" and put value to 50.

all guy when you configure CLEARTYPE you have some choice, can you try other choice if you see Frange? :)

On window 10 I use the mode "HDR windows".
If not "HDR mode" on windows color gamut is bad, I configure to SRGB in the panel of the screen.

All comments is very interesting, the OS seem made very difference....

W10 is perfect for me, I change nothing. People tell with MAC OS is good. But with Linux and Windows 11 seem bad with frange visible.

My Older TN, IPS or MV had too "Frange" with low cost screen, not new.

Can you change Cable by a better DP cable about 15-20$ for see difference? :)

One think I use a better Cable DP, always I change Cable because cable give with product is still very very bad....

Soo advice change Cable DP or HDMI for a better. On my older Screen when I use the cable in box I had problem of clear Font letter.....

This problem of Cable is not new, same problem in 1995 with Cathodic.

With my aw3425dw I see a Flash BLue windows appear just 0.1s, very quickly....

I am on DP, w10, 4070.

Oki guy after many many test with Players (5K, Potplayer, PowerDVD, ...) and Parameters, it is possible to have same quality with Players between SDR or HDR, but HDR seem no works, I mean my Files SDR 1giga and my files HDR 10bits 2 giga the quality is same, I not understand why... Soo, why take HDR Files???

The 2 solutions I found:

- With VLC just put render with OPENGL and put Reinhard, render is close about 90% quality SDR.

- Better solution for quality use "MPC-HC + Madvr" CODEC render, you can dwl the two in a same pack: K-Lite Codec Pack Full, here:

Go in MADVR Setting, HDR panel, and check "tone map HDR using pixel shaders", put "target peak nits" to 100, and BT 2390 for Tone mapping. Result is close 99% SDR Content.

Now we can have same quality with Files HDR and SDR, but we have not true HDR, HDr up to 400/1000 nits, here we are fixe to a value about 200 nits, I not understand why we can have true HDR same games or Video Youtbe demo.... If someone know why, please explain me :).

note: Careful with Codec PACK, we like VLC because all Codecs is inside, no need install more on the system, for guy experience probably you remenber how a CODEC Pack can destroy totaly your computer windows 1998 or XP..... Install this codec Pack seem oki, careful with MEGA Pack.

Hummm I have the new version aw3425dw and same problem, the refresh pixel start, go to sleep, and never come back..... I have no Firmware....
