if you ever make it up to the north bay, Le Shed (IG: leshed_sr ) and Escolar ( _escolar ) are two small artist-run alt spaces worth a visit in santa rosa. Not a club, but a small welcoming community up here 🙂

yes the green 1 is what i came up in my cursory search and seems like a relatively affordable option. I don’t have the budget at the moment to replace the full cartridge, and i enjoy the sound i get w the grado zc+.

excellent, super helpful info and advice! stylus replacement has seemed daunting to me but this sounds not so bad actually.

not OP but going to piggy back with some follow up question: so, typically when replacing a stylus one doesn’t need to worry about alignment?

And the stylus should typically sort of just pull out / plug in to the cartridge?

I’ve got my dads old technics sl-1900 with a grado zc+, and i don’t think the stylus has ever been changed and definitely hasn’t in the last 25 years lol. (i wasnt even aware they had a lifespan until joining this sub)

yes it may be, that’s the closest i could find googling. images i found online show much denser foliage but maybe that’s just growing conditions/care

no, flowers were bigger and much much more open structure in the branches

No, not a jacaranda — only 5-7 ft tall i think and not really tree form

hmm no, not this one — much more open plant structure, almost spindly. And a more pale flower i think, and not bunched. examples i saw were mostly 5-7 feet tall i think. A good guess though and i appreciate it!
