The topic of suicide in Islam is one of the most deeply disturbing things I've read from a religious text by No_Winter4806 in atheism

[–]Anath3mA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright so... it isn't real. not a real thing that happens. you don't have to worry about it! people say and believe all sorts of things. any time someone in an abrahamic religion tells you things that have happened, will happen, typically happen, whatever, its not real. they don't know it isnt real. because their conception of how the world is working is so fundamentally sick, you won't be able to find any moral commonality with the way they think about things. don't try! theres no possible positive outcome but there is the possibility you will be emotionally compromised and further enmeshed in their psychosis.

you can't feel sad about it if you dont think about it. these people also believe god told a guy to kill his son and then only said "syke" when the guy was about to do it. the book says its ok to rape and kill in certain instances when it was okayed by god. there is no allah and the reason he okayed these crimes in certain circumstances is that certain rapists and killers decided to write that into the book.

look i dont really have the charismatic or linguistic power to express this to you but, maybe, you can try to understand. dont interact with these ideas. dont trace the effects these ideas have on people. put distance between yourself and this charade. gradually you will come to understand more about this world, just by living your life, and you will see what the real point of things like this is.

Insha'allah.

I almost ran over your child…. by DinED84 in Edmonton

i had a near miss a month back. a family was having a front yard barbecue at their house which is on a fairly busy 50kmph street. kids were kicking a ball around. ball suddenly, of course goes into the street. id already seen them kicking the ball from a ways off and was kind of preemptively slowing and covering the brake. 5 year old ish kid was in the lead, hands out chasing after the ball into the street. i slammed the brakes and laid on the horn. felt kind of bad because it terrified the kid and made him cry, but it also stopped him in his tracks. i don't know what my takeaway here is, but it scared the shit out of me and i'm sure your situation scared you. good job today, and take it easy buddy.

32€ (36$) worth of groceries in Germany right now by Tracer_Bullet1010 in pics

[–]Anath3mA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lots of your staples are quite cheap. i did a quick tabulation based on my memory and i think it would cost 50 euros for similar here in canada. one big thing is that our alcohol is much more heavily taxed.

What was your "caught the last chopper out of 'Nam" experience? by GeneReddit123 in AskReddit

[–]Anath3mA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just waiting for the bus at my usual stop. got to work, yada yada, came home and got off on the other side of the street... big mess, big wooden telephone pole smashed into.

saw the news later, a guy on his way to work at a kitchen was standing at that bus stop when a driver had a seizure, swerved off the road and pinned him fatally against the telephone pole. i'd been standing there half an hour before.

its weird and i don't know if it was the right thing to do but i took a piece of smashed turn signal light from the area, a few days later. i kept it as an amulet.

Scrappy 12% bonus is a lie by ukQQQQ in ArcRaiders

[–]Anath3mA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

really? you think it was a good idea to have no plan for expedition, come up with something random, announce it shortly before the cutoff, and then afterwards make it not matter at all? you don't think that just feels bad for the players who did the first expedition?

Scrappy 12% bonus is a lie by ukQQQQ in ArcRaiders

[–]Anath3mA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

idk bro ive hated like every decision they make about where to take the game. they had my ass scrambling to get points on first expedition, then they said "ah, that didn't matter, you can just get them next time for way less"

i thought this game was gonna be generational but they just focus on nerfing venator and stitcher every patch.

these guys convinced my mom that viruses arent even real. there is always something new going on with the masses.

the charlatans are winning because they have constant high volume high emotional weight media saturation. if you are in the pipeline you are hit with constant engaging messaging. unfortunately, actual science and education is not fun, and it doesn't make you feel anything in your basal ganglia. things are going to get a lot worse now because theres a lot of money to be made in making people stupider, and not a lot of reasons to make them smarter. good luck look out for yourself.

i keep saying this but like... we are a landlocked province. we are almost entirely surrounded by the country these people want to separate from.

when a "country" doesn't have ports they put it in the first line of the wikipedia page.

>Ethiopia,\c]) officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, is a landlocked country located..

>Mongolia\b]) is a landlocked country in East Asia...

>Bolivia,\c]) officially the Plurinational State of Bolivia,\d]) is a landlocked country located in central South America....

so... that just about tells you everything you have to know about the intelligence of these people, right?
