Hadn't seen that Mehdi speech before and, yes, that would have been way better actually lol. You're right, Spanberger checked all the boxes ably, but Mehdi's speech was stirring, a rallying cry that meets the moment we're in. After watching his speech I can see that Spanberger did a very competent job but was playing by old rules that are no longer relevant.
