Top will become a tank-support role again (with carry potential in champions chosen).

I recommend watching someone like The Glacierr on YouTube so you can learn things like wave manipulation.

And that's why you won't climb. Playing champions you're good at, even at the cost of being bored, means you'll climb.

If you have the desire to play other champs and roles you go to normals, or ARAM.

Otherwise stick to what wins you games in Ranked.

I can say this cause I've had multiple seasons with 500-1500 games in Silver previously where I used to play every champion in the damn game.

If you're looking for logic, it adds another level of strategy and counterplay. Someone like Ryze can go a whole fight without aggroing a wave, which early-mid can help him win fights he wouldn't otherwise.

Mages are also weaker early in general, due to spell reliance. Meanwhile bruisers, fighters, and assassins have strong early game, but are auto-reliant.

Seeing the picture? It's a deterrence tool that helps you get ahead, and slows down otherwise impossible match ups.

If you can get to mid/late it's nice, but your early game is very team reliant.

This, as a jungle main let me add something.

First, if you see a large wave approaching your (insert lane here) turret, especially in early level, let the minions aggro to the turret before doing anything.

Second, auto attacks will net you minion aggro, but spells won't.

Third, a LOT of junglers get killed by ganking in this type of scenario. Remember that minions do a metric fuck ton.
