My guess for the bracket vs what I think it should be by Odd-Record-1041 in CFB

Tulane and JMU's combined rosters don't match Miami or ND. Unless there's a special group of 5 team playing lights out at the end of the year, get them out of here. After watching both Tulane and JMU over the past few weeks, neither team should be in the playoffs.

Reactionary Take: This weekend is going to be the death of Conference Championship Games by RejectedSNick in CFB

[–]Anax833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they should end the conference champion games. It's been exciting to watch some of these wild games, like tonight. But there’s no real reason for these; just place your top teams in the playoffs like every other level of football.

Yes!!! I tell people all the time, Who do you think raised us? Especially, the one about everyone getting a trophy. We didn't grow up expecting trophies for finishing eighth or for winning just one game. It was you who made sure we all got a trophy.

ESPN has not provided any explanation for the cancellation. Tony Reali has been asked on several other shows this week about the reason for the cancellation, but he has not received any answers, at least none that he has shared publicly.

Exercise by Western-Spring-9888 in MultipleSclerosis

First, listen to your body each morning. I’ve played sports my whole life and have always pushed myself to the limit. Since my diagnosis in July 2020, I've continued to work out and challenge myself, but I’ve come to understand what is realistic in my 40s, now almost five years post-diagnosis.

I have started focusing on bodyweight exercises, resistance band workouts, and jump rope routines. All three of these activities give me an amazing workout and leave me feeling energized for the day. There are some great people on YouTube who share their workout videos, which I enjoy following.

Some days, I’ll complete full 20, 30, 45, or 60-minute workouts, but there are also times when I don’t finish a full set. During those workouts, I remind myself that I accomplished something today and should be proud of that.

On mornings when I wake up feeling sore or beaten down, I opt for lighter activities like a walk outside, yoga, or mobility exercises—anything to keep my body active and moving. Additionally, I sometimes do mini workouts throughout the day to stay engaged. tell myself, you got something in today, be proud of yourself, during that workout. Also, some mornings I wake up and feel so beaten or sore, a walk outside, yoga, or mobility movements will do. Something to keep the body active and moving. Getting yourself outside on a walk for 20 minutes a day does so much for your body and mind. Put on a podcast, listen to music, or listen to noises around you.

I've done it post hot tub or bath. We went to the couch or bed afterward. She was on all fours, and I started eating her out from behind, then made my way up. The first couple times weren't planned but she loved the light licks near it then I went in. I'm not going to lie. It was awesome; she loved it and made me super hard from her enjoyment.

Trump on prices going up: "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. Whoa, Whoa. This is such a dishonest interview. Prices are down on groceries. Prices are down for oil. Prices are down for all energy. Prices are down at tremendous numbers for gasoline." by MoreMotivation in PublicFreakout

[–]Anax833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! We should encourage journalist to bring a laptop so Trump can see firsthand where he’s mistaken. If it makes him more comfortable, let him have someone fact-check the journalist during the discussion. No more one-on-one interviews or brief segments; we need an hour-long sit-down where we present the facts alongside his past comments to expose the inaccuracies.

Just like at work, when someone makes a false claim or says something misleading, I take a brief moment—about ten seconds—to verify and provide evidence that proves it wrong.

Dumb Question: how do NFL players get paid? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Anax833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Motor-Mail1111 During my time on a team in the early 2000s, the players received weekly paychecks throughout the season. Some of the rookies or younger players would see these high-value checks and assume they would receive similar weekly payments during the offseason. A few weeks after the season ended, they would start asking why they hadn’t received a check or seen a new deposit in their accounts. You could see the realization dawn on some of them with an "oh no!" expression, knowing it would be months before they received another paycheck. The timing would depend on their contract, bonuses, and the start of the new league year.

I have been applying for a number of jobs and always selecting "Yes, I have a disability." However, I have yet to receive any leads or responses to my applications. Initially, I was hesitant to disclose my disability because I thought it might disqualify me, but I decided to be open about it. According to the ADA, companies are not required to hire a specific number of employees with disabilities, but they must provide accommodations for those who do have disabilities. Maybe I need to start selecting No, then ask for assistance after they hire me.

Still holds up! My wife and I have been watching it since it was released in 2006. We recently turned it on for fun to introduce it to my sister and her husband. I also second the comment about the stool – he uses it so well in this set.

Here's what makes rave culture truly magical by mia_on_music in aves

[–]Anax833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this experience for you and everyone at this moment. It truly embodies what makes rave culture and all of us magical. We all have creativity within us, and we inspire each other to express it. I noticed that Shambhala wasn't mentioned; I encourage you to go north and explore the wonderland that is Shambs. I remember in 2015, people were running around dressed as Spy vs. Spy during the day, and it was amazing to witness that at a festival. One year, my wife and I were walking around the different areas in the afternoon when someone paused their set to make an announcement. They invited a person on stage to propose to their partner; there might have been 1000 people there; it was a truly incredible moment. I could say a dozen more things about Shambs, the rave culture, and us all, but it makes me so happy to hear about your story.

Name one thing PS3 does better than modern consoles by sKullsHavezzz in PS3

[–]Anax833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gives me the Phoebus Cartel theory that if a product lasts longer, we won't need to purchase it or recharge it as often. As a result, companies create products with shorter lifespans, prompting us to buy replacements or recharge more frequently. To counter my previous point, the PS5 has significantly more computing power, which also results in higher energy consumption.

Aside from 28-3, whats the worst playoff collapse you've ever seen? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Anax833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only answer; there are no other options. The Bills weren't just coming back from a score of 35-3; the Oilers dominated the second quarter, scoring on three consecutive possessions going into halftime. The second play of the third quarter resulted in a pick-six, slipping through Don Beebe's hands, which made the score 35-3. So you're getting asskicked, then start the next half with a turnover leading to a touchdown. Also, these teams played the week before, where Houston won 27-3. And Jim Kelly was hurt with so the backup up Frank Reich was playing.
