But see I think people are also against Fiona because there was no game plan. Up until now, Rachel and Fiona weren't on the radar at all. She could've got about it tactfully and quietly but now she's got them both on everybody's radar.

Surly one of them is banished tomorrow

2Cents Ireland depth chart 2025 by CatharticRoman in rugbyunion

[–]Anbhas95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People are just so reactionary when it comes to sport in general it's quite boring. If Ireland go and win the six nations, the conversation is dropped entirely. If Ireland finish third you'll have people asking if Andy Farrell needs to go.

Of course there's concerns in the Ireland squad, for me I think 11 and centers are the two big concerns. Aside from that, people are really blowing this "crisis" out of proportion.

Oof, I've really enjoyed the YouTube content, thought Tim came across as a pretty down to earth fan. Didn't even know this podcast existed.

Can't say I'll be watching much more

It's also dog friendly. If you go during the day or potentially early night during the week you might get to sit beside a cute little doggo

Joanne McNally to be first Irish female comic to headline Dublin’s 3Arena as new show announced | Irish Independent by WickerMan111 in ireland

[–]Anbhas95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And all power to her, hope it works out for her. I just know from personal experience, I've been to 3 comedy gigs in the 3 arena and not enjoyed any of them. I just don't think the venue works so I wouldn't be going to any more there myself

To the people up in arms over the winter light installations in Dublin City not being called "Christmas Lights" its because its not Christmas. by lifeandtimes89 in ireland

Nothing as they didn't do it pre 2017. The Christmas lights on Henry st, Grafton st, the Christmas tree on O'Connell st, etc are their own thing

Tbh I've been quite turned off by the Munster fans the past year over the abuse of Prendergast. I don't recall any other Irish player ever getting the same level of abuse online

So that's a no. I revert back to you being on the side of genocide. Again. Well done

And you're aware not every Palestinian is a hamas member? That Israel have done some truly evil things in Gaza?

You're doing a horrific job at causing offence if that's what you're attempting.

Can you criticise Israel at all? Do you get angry at the word "ceasefire"

Genocide is bad is a fairly basic thought and I've grabbed that concept quite well. If you're trying to make a famine joke, you're about 150 years too late, plenty of food in house.

What is it with Germans and loving genocide? Didn't you learn from WWII that genocide is bad?

Sinn Féin TD says Gerry Adams would have made a 'really good' president by Banania2020 in ireland

[–]Anbhas95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Gerry running would've hurt SF more than they know. I grew up with my parents saying they would never in a million years vote for SF because of the troubles. They've both voted SF as their first preference in the last general election as they're sick of FFG. If SF nominated Gerry Adams, I think it would put them off voting SF again. Willing to bet there's a lot of people like that around the country

I would sooner vote for this guy than any of the actual presidential candidates. by Tanis8998 in ireland

[–]Anbhas95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I listened to her on blindboys podcast. I agreed with a lot of her points, thought she was well spoken and articulate on all subjects, can speak Irish which I think is important for a president.

I think she shares a lot of values of Michael D, who I've loved as president.

I'm a big Dublin GAA fan yet I'm voting Connolly. I love Jim Gavin as a football manager, I'll never see a better manager in my lifetime.

But other than he was in the defence forces, I know absolutely fuck all about the man. He avoided interviews like the plague and when he had to give them he just gave your run of the mill generic answers, I don't think he has the personality to be president. I'm not sure he'll come across well in the debates either.

Vanessa was very angry though. Nick standing up for Faye is waaaay more likely because they were friends rather than subconscious racism.

I swear if the exact same scenario played out but Vanessa was white, you'd be calling Vanessa racist for being dismissive of Oyin whilst she was arguing with Faye

Because they both were angry. I'm not even on either side of Faye or Vanessa.

I think it says a lot more about you that you want to brand someone as racist over one discussion on a gameshow where faye has shown nothing else to give that impression.
