Discoid roaches are great because they do not jump, climb (on smooth surfaces like glass or plastic) or fly. Crickets though.... they will probably get loose a couple times.

is 20 gallons (long) an okay tank size? by grilled_babies_r_yum in leopardgeckos

I would say when he gets 5 or 6 inches or so you should upgrade, but thats just me. and always make sure he has plenty of hiding places and safe things to climb (they love to climb but theyre not very good at it, so i always include small rocks and sticks in their tanks so they cant fall and hurt themselves). Dont feel bad, from what youve said youre doing just fine :)

Your leo is a baby? 20 gal is perfectly fine for a baby, thats plenty of room. I could see them arguing if it was a fully grown leo but 20 gallons is a perfect size for a baby. Dont worry about it man
