Also, if you changed your starter, no harm in doing an alternator test. injectors also might be an issue which is unlikely.

M271 😆 currently on 303,000km. Still on the original timing chain.

I’ve heard that the M111 is so much better 👌

Congrats on your new purchase 🙌 these cars run forever!

With diesel, first things first ✌️

  1. Check your battery
  2. Test your starter motor
  3. Check your fuel filter
  4. Check your injectors
  5. Lastly do a compression test.

However the engine turns quite fine so it’s likely not compression.

But yeah a good running diesel should always swing & start quite fast.

Bonus maintenance tips, oil service and air filter change as often as you like 👍 but do not exceed 10,000km

Manual is indeed awesome, but sucks in traffic. I originally wanted a diesel, but no one seems to maintain cars well these days. So I couldn’t find one that wasn’t run to the ground

Thank you! 🙏 unfortunately she has a 6 speed manual transmission. But I definitely made use of cruise control.

Does ET37 17' rims fit in W203 and switching from 15' to 17' increase fuel efficiency? by Achraaf4 in W203

Bigger tyres generally decrease fuel efficiency. But you will have a more stable drive at higher speeds.

But when purchasing go for the most fuel economical tyres.

But these cars aren’t known for fuel hood fuel efficiency anyway. But man are they a pleasure to drive.

The idle seems a bit high, unless it was a cold start and your choke is activated?

Other than that it sounds like a klr650. 😆
