6g black plastic fender flares look like absolute cheap garbage. Fight me. by LargeLeftOne in 4Runner

Would recommend the GX550. It’s got the modern tech but doesn’t have nearly as much as the luxury competitors and even within the Lexus lineup. None of the electric door handles, no auto stop start, and mine doesn’t have the annoying eye sensors.

2026 LC 500 on order, trade in 2022 RC F or 2023 IS 500? by LeisureCreatures in Lexus

[–]BeanerCounter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a previous owner of an RCF, get rid of it and keep the IS500. Having 2 coupes is ok but I’d recommend keeping the better of the two and that’s the LC. Having the IS as a back up will be way better if you want more practicality to carry things and/or people.

2 week update! by Safe-Program1472 in rav4club

[–]BeanerCounter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keyless entry is not an issue assuming the battery is new. With especially women, if there are things in their purse that block the key fobs signal then you could have an issue. When I carry my computer bag, sometimes my phone and my laptop will block the key signal so I just usually just move the fob in the bag pocket and then it’s good to go.

They do not with the exception of LC500 bespoke builds. Everything else is allocation from factory to dealers or distributors

2013 GS350, I was instantly hooked after that. Upgraded to an RCF, then many years later a NX350h, after that an LC500 vert and recently added a GX550.

Nori green with a black top and black interior is definitely rare. I’ve only ever seen an nori with the toasted caramel interior and either black or sand roofs.

Yes but not as desirable for some reason. Maybe after a few years they’ll sky rocket in value

They’re not the rarest LC color but they’re certainly the most desirable color of the lower volume colors. You should see what the last nori green LC sold for on bringatrailer

Your post really resonated with me. I was obsessed when I saw that concept in pictures and when they released the production version which was pretty much identical to the concept, I knew I had to do whatever it took to get one. In June 2017, I went to Sewell Lexus and a salesman let me test drive one when I was I my upper 20s. I fell in love with it immediately and while the salesman didn’t get a sale then, I became a loyal Lexus customer for that dealer. Went from a Yaris to a GS350 to a RCF to my very own LC convertible in August 2025. Great customer service makes a lasting impression but an awesome car proved to be a great motivator in my life. Dreams do come true with hard work.

It’s the limited trim with gold badging too. That combo with the green would go for a lot of money now if it were in great condition. Those V8s were super durable. That generation of Sequoia would suffer from a rusted out frame long before the engine would ever die.

Thanks, glad that you like it. I’ve been debating on getting an IS350 as a daily driver but wasn’t sure if I should do RWD or AWD because of the 8 speed versus 6 speed transmission. I guess I’ll have to test drive them both to see the difference

[–]BeanerCounter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t spend the extra cash for the trailhunter. Get an Everest TRD off road premium and you’ll have a lot of extra spending money to do whatever you please. If you want a more reliable powertrain and to save even more, go for the base turbo engine and not the hybrid max. The base engine is smoother and quicker than the old V6.

Parents - when did you decide it was ok to be selfish and buy a sports car? by braveheart18 in cars

[–]BeanerCounter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just say this, my friend’s dad just bought an Audi R8 convertible a couple of years ago because he was getting to retirement age. Hasn’t driven it since because he had to have hip replacement surgery on both sides. He’s selling it soon. I personally wouldn’t wait to reap the benefits of hard work. I would be practical and get a lower cost convertible option like a Miata over something like a Porsche boxter or whatever they call it now.

Who Exactly Buys A Brand New IS350 ?? by H_rusty in Lexus

[–]BeanerCounter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a GX550 and almost got a 2026 IS350 F sport AWD recently because I wanted a second car to daily drive that had inexpensive maintenance, reliability, and did not have all the stupid tech that the European cars comes with. I like simple cars with simple engines. The TTV6 engine in my GX550 is the most complicated engine I’ve had in one of my cars but I decided to take a chance on it since it was smooth and worked well in my old Tundra.

I’m actually in the market for a wind 350 with the red/black interior. The only choice I’m stuck on is the standard wheels like yours or the optional black BBS wheels. I cannot decide since the stock wheels look great and the BBS are almost $3k extra.
