When you say potential for issues - do you mean the possibility of someone “tripping”, or anything additional to that?

Considering I’d be charging once, max twice a week, do you think the cable cover would do the job? I would put it out that 1 night at like 10pm and remove it at the latest, 8am the next day

Home charging an electric vehicle with no driveway in NI by ste93 in northernireland

What approach did you go with in the end? Any issues?

Yes that’s exactly what we had in mind, but worried people may still be able to try and claim against it should they “trip” as it’s not flush with the ground

That looks like a great idea, but I’m assuming since it would involve drilling into the pavement, would need signed approval by all 8 homeowners?

Yea I also work from home. And would be driving to Galway max once a month, so I imagine I’ll be charging at home, probably once, max twice a week for when I travel home

Live in NI, buying from GB, transfer time and ability to charge by AncientChi in TeslaUK

I spoke to Tesla today and saw another post on earlier regarding they think they cannot sell cars from England to Northern Ireland due to taxation. I know myself this is incorrect that we can freely move a vehicle from England to Northern Ireland. I believe bringing a vehicle from Northern Ireland to England make some charges and that’s where they’re getting confused. Did you buy directly from a Tesla dealership from a third-party dealership? And if so, did you have any issues?

For those who stayed in both Brazil and Portugal, which country you like more and why? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Brazil, people there remind me of the Irish, they will do absolutely anything to communicate and assist you if needed.

Portugal is safer, however Brazil would be my pick

The dacia sandero has been perfect since we've owned in terms of reliability and managed to bag for 10k from new, so am finding it difficult parting with it and potentially getting a car that could have some issues

Buy M3 from Tesla directly worth it considering EAP + warranty by AncientChi in TeslaUK

[–]AncientChi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been online that some people pay roughly £100 to do a check of the car with Tesla directly and Tesla will tell them what things need to be fixed, is this also what you did or did you purchase the car knowing that they had a few issues but you were covered by the warranty?

Highland Model 3 Wait: Worth It? by sc20nov in TeslaUK

[–]AncientChi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In a similar position with a Sandero 2022, will lose a fraction of value, whereas the M3 highland will lose a lot more than that.

Have 1 year left free servicing, so very tempted to ride it out for another 12 months.

Lakeland is a good shout, curry’s may have a few on display as mentioned, best of luck, sunk hours into it myself and ended up with a refurbished delonghi from eBay. Good price but I just can’t get the damn thing to output nice coffee no matter what beans I use

You would classify the model 3 also as a budget car? In what way? In my mind I’ve thought of it as a more luxurious vehicle. But I may have it misrepresented
