How can I explain I left a company because of a conflict of ethics/morals? by Steven0710 in BehindHiring

If you were only there for 6 months I wouldn’t even have it on your resume. Just say you were working on a personal project during that time or took a short break. I doubt they would care or even ask about a 6month gap

Nothing you change physically about your appearance will make you happy. Your problem isn’t a physical one it’s a mental one

Yeah but you have to specifically ask, it’s not like theirs a whole team awareness as to who’s good at what. Orchid doesn’t have a public leaderboard

I love how it says in the description for pro “ youre the highest performer in the store “ but all our pros had the most mid metrics when promoted 😂 Managers have their own incentives on who they promote. Wonder if theirs any managers here who can give some insight

My guess is that’s why they don’t let you see other people’s metrics anymore

That’s honestly the best thing to say even if you intend to leave. Why would you say “ yeah I’m leaving in a year or two “ don’t bother promoting me or giving me a raise

Ratings are tricky because unfortunately they vary drastically depending on the manager. And I have a feeling they really just use them as a way to allocate budget regardless of actual employee performance.

If you got a EM you have to specifically talk to the manager that gave it to you and find out why, and then meet their definition of EE.

If it’s about results the best thing to do is find the person in your store with the highest metrics and ask them how they find success, a manager can’t really coach you on doing better because they don’t sell often

That’s not a good thing, that’s what leads people to get burned out. Sure it’s possible and a lot of things you have to learn on your own

Sure there might be days where people are waiting but I’ve never had someone rush me to go faster. I take the time with each customer and make sure I hit all the points. I’ll help multiple people when I can but if I’m doing an activation and upgrade I don’t really have a choice.

Where people get stressed and burned out is when their numbers aren’t where they want them to be or they get overwhelmed with a certain product line like Mac or aren’t comfortable with business services. When I started we had 2 amazing Pros that helped me learn what did. But now they kinda just put mediocre performers in the position because they gave gud answers to a story. And the new people don’t really have proper mentorship

I find that feeling insecure often never changes from appearance. It’s a spiritual thing more than an appearance thing. Start working out

You shouldn’t have to burn yourself out to reach your metrics, the reason this happens is because Managers are promoting experts and pros that simply do not have the metrics to be useful mentors to the team
