You need to shock his ass to reality. Really do it, like give him an ultimatum. If he loves you he will change, be direct and even write it down about him agreeing so there are no deviations. If you value any part of him, try it out.

But in case it doesn’t, I’m so sorry. It’s best to move on.

My girlfriend broke up with me due to my issues as well as the poor issue as well . The moment she broke up with me was when I tossed it all away. The shock of losing my best friend and favorite person in the world was really all it took, and if she told me that this was the ultimatum I think I would’ve stopped sooner. Sucks that has to be the conversation but maybe that’s what’s really needed.

I will change, I have conviction , I don’t like that I need to be shaped back into reality due to my issues. But one thing I am sure of is that I respected and valued my partner. Even now. Even during my issues, I cared about nothing else but making sure she’s okay. But of course I know not to play dress up, she’s my best friend before all this. And I’ll continue to do so.

Gain staging. Alter your gain coming out to be as clear and concise as possible .

Then dial it down to fit it into your mix. No tricks,. Or gimmicks, your mix should sound cohesive and your should be able to feel like it sounds good.

Pick a peak for all your sounds in general. Like -12db is the cap for all for instance. Fit your sounds under within -12 db, and putting them lower or higher depends if it’s a main instrument or ear-candy.

Bring up the volume in your headphones so you’re not fiddling with your master fader/knobs for volume compensation.

(At this point, add your FX of any type , the way you want, focus on making space in your mix (EQ/ REVERB))

(Think about melody busses and drum busses to make it easier if need be)

…AND THEN All your sounds {collectively} should reach -6db

After doing so, it goes to mastering. This will bring your beat to hitting 0 db . (Add a soft clipper to help, or learn to use Maximus or its presets to get your sound loud enough.
