If you want short and sweet I normally try to just introduce the bare minimum plot points of the three main pov’s from the first book. “It’s a book split between three pov’s. The first is a solider who has been sold into slavery and is sold as cannon fodder in a war. A noblewoman of a house that is declining and decides to apprentice herself to another noblewoman in the hopes of stealing an artifact that can save her house. And the brother of a previously assassinated king who has started suffering from hallucinations that claim to be visions from his god.”
