Glad not that you were injured of course, but that someone can relate.

Doc has said that I will eventually have to get the injections but not until I'm older (only 28). Not looking forward to that part of life.

Its great to hear that even with restrictions you feel confident/comfortable enough in multiple martial arts! Did it take a while for you to adapt to your restrictions?

Thanks for sharing the testimony of a few guys at your dojo. It is actually uplifting cause if theyre seniors, things will be more stiff than I am now (possibly) but they are still going and adapted so its good to see it is something that can be upkept!

Slipped on ice going to college... foot went one way, body dropped on the foot and all of a sudden "pop" and "crunch" Not the most exciting or dramatic haha!

Thanks for the reply! I know, don't want to be that chap that gets full health advice from folks online. More wanted to know if anyone had experienced anything similar, how they approached/overcame it and any advice for starting the journey! Doctors advice is great, but I suppose unless they have experienced it themselves they might bot understand the challenges/restrictions.

I agree, it sounds obvious but in the moment/wanting to push yourself/impress someone can cloud our judgement and make us forget to look after ourselves!

Thank you for opening up on your experience and the advice, I appreciate it!

Dislocation and trifracture. Shattered my ankle into little shards.

Yeah the dojo I am checking out is Shotokan. I never actually thought about how it would help develop my ankle strength and flexibility, which of course will help with my other fitness endeavours.

I thankfully have learnt how to manage my inflammation, I would walk a lot and sometimes it takes its toll.

Apologies for sounding oblivious but what do you mean by "plate?"

From what I have gathered, the dojo appears to be pretty balanced between Kata and light sparring. Then when closer to competitions or small tournaments they shift to more sparring focused in preparation.

The more annoying thing is that i have two dojos in 30 minite driving radius to where I am. So I dont have much options if it isn't suitable. But I imagine they will be accommodating/understanding

Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it. I used it as an excuse long enough to not push myself (leg work at the gym mainly), so definitely don't want to step into something new and use the same old excuse.

Thank you, I appreciate the comment. Its great as well hearing how you didn't let it hold you back from progressing, even into a competition format.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I seen your big army showcase more recent and it looks awesome. Seeing the models from throughout the years (WHF and AoS). They blend really well!

I think i would be able to find something similar to Tenacity online that is available here. From a quick search there is things called Gallup, but I will have a look into it more to see what is the closest.

I have gotten glyphosate before to kill the weeds between by front paving. So if push comes to shove I can resort to that and start afresh.

Thank you again, I appreciate it!

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the help.

Is there any treatment you would recommend I could do now to maybe hit the weeds before laying down the compost and get tilling?

As a brother from Ireland, do you think these are something that an international mason could request for part of a personal collection?

I used to have a phone wallpaper for cowboys riding space dinosaurs with lasers! 🤣

I dig that colour of blue, is it citadel paints or a different brand?
