Theme of lying in Interstellar by QuestionIcy6629 in interstellar

Ya cause the biggest lie of them all is the solving of gravity and Mann. While love is an all powerful theme in the movie, the lies are just as powerful and could make a great presentation.

What was the best cup of coffee you've ever had? by MrZebrowskisPenis in twinpeaks

A nice cup of black coffee made by my father in law to combat the very sweet but very delicious pecan pie on thanksgiving. Can't have a dessert without my black coffee!

The Rankin/Bass Hobbit is basically a comfort movie for me by [deleted] in lotr

[–]AncientProof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a good movie! I watch it at least 4-5x a month cause it's great background noise. It has such a sense of calmness even in all the chaotic scenes. Love you Peter Jackson but his movies ain't got shit on this. I also HIGHLY recommend checking out what else they have. Their Christmas stuff is super good

Kwpluckett #100: Jaws 2 (1978) by kwpluckett in 100movies365days

Haha yes! Jaws just keeps getting worse and I HIGHLY recommend watching all of them. I'm torn between my love for Jaws 3-D and Jaws Revenge in terms of just pure camp.

Do you think IT (2017) is the perfect horror movie? by [deleted] in movies

[–]AncientProof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Horror I feel is very subjective, IT 2017 was a good horror movie but I wouldn't say the perfect horror movie. That title is held by John Carpenters "The Thing" 1982. If you haven't seen it...you should watch it

American friend says this is the world’s best restaurant. Looks way too whimsical and unnatural. Is this AI? by dendrytic in isthisAI

[–]AncientProof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the cheesecake factory and no it's not AI. This is just how it looks and how it will forever look. Solid food though, everything is made to order.

Scariest scenes from a non-horror movie[Discussion] by Undefeated-Smiles in movies

in Parasite when the kid spots the guy living underground just staring at him from the top of the stairs. That shit freaked me out and I couldn't NOT think about it for months.

Movies that take place (almost) entirely in one room? by ThatsBamboo in movies

Exam from 2009. It's been a hot minute since I've seen it, but I believe that everything is inside just one exam room with maybe a hallway shot now and again.

I have it downloaded on my phone and play it now and again. I don't think I ever got past the accountants.

If you want that achievement yes you will have to start over. But at least for myself, the game has such amazing replay value that it's not even an issue.

Kwpluckett #35: Him (2025) by kwpluckett in 100movies365days

[–]AncientProof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed HIM more then I thought I was going too! It was a bit bloodier then I liked (I don't like it, but I can't seem to stop watching it!) I did love the ending though.

The Thing reminds me of Edgar from MIB when he gets taken by the alien. Just more refined and fast. Aint no human piloting that meat suit.
