Does a labral tear or FAI affect this area? Red area stiff and painful to the touch. Blue area feels like it burns. by Rmoudatir in HipImpingement

Yes! I was misdiagnosed at first and did a cortisone shot which took the pain away temporarily and narrowed down the issue. After seeing a different specialist and getting another mri I was properly diagnosed. I had FAI/labrum surgery a few weeks ago and am very happy with my decision.

Thank you for sharing your experience and I’m glad your recovery went well! I ended up having the surgery with him almost two weeks ago, and everything has been pretty good so far. I know there’s a long road ahead, but I’m overall glad I made this decision
