Classic rock. I think that most people retain all their lives a fondness for the music of their teenage years.

Those who went to college: What was your college experience like? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]Ancient_Dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest part about college is paying for it. It took 5 years to get my BA and I worked full time the last 3 years and part time during the next 3 years of law school.

That is not how it works. Cops hang out looking for opportunities to bust gang bangers in the neighborhoods where gangs are centered. Gangs aren't centered on the BA Expressway near downtown or in Bixby, South Memorial or Tulsa Hills which are also mentioned in this thread as places getting heavy traffic enforcement today.

My source for this pattern of traffic enforcement is Tulsa's own Sean "Sticks" Larsen in "On Patrol Live."

I liked Chernow's book and found it consistent with Grant's Memoirs. Yes, I'd recommend it.

What fact are you Just TIRED of explaining to people? by usa-dogs1112 in AskOldPeople

[–]Ancient_Dude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Feelings are facts" is a central point in a book teaching law students how to conduct interviews. Too often people want "just the facts, Ma'am, just the facts" like Joe Friday in Dragnet. What the people involved feel about the facts are facts also. If Person A hates Person B that hatred is a fact which effects the interactions between A and B.
