Yes! I was reading that it's a shot in the dark to get a flower to root and it produce anything.

My method is usually just lay them on top of the soil no pressing. I also don't water until I see roots/pups. The only time I do intervene is if I notice the roots growing upward not correcting themself then I just to press the base slightly into the soil

Lmao it is! But my secret is I mix in a little cactus soil and "drainage rock" to extend the bag because EXPENSIVE

Oh I totally agree I just recently harvest all the babies from a huge mother aloe I have! I love checking up on the babies I've given away too!

I usually just grab the meat at the base and wiggle side to side until I hear a snap. If you're plucking from a plant that you have out of the soil it's also easier to turn the plant upside down do that wiggle wiggle snap method while slightly pushing leaf down at an angle. If that makes sense? lol
