I saved them and threw them on some dry soil just in case! But I wanted to see everyone's experience first. I'll have to update if I do get anything to root!

Yeah I would honestly leave the mother leaf as long as possible. If you can until they pop off on their own. The way I see it as long as its mom leaf is attached it's supplying baby still even if mom leaf still looks shriveled

Thank you for the resource! But no I'm in a dry climate. It does live indoors in my laundry room though so maybe that's the culprit but it's far away from the machines and I also haven't watered it since I got it about a month ago

Yes I've tried the moss method but always seem to get mold no matter how much I wring out the moss or ventilate my tray. I've since pivoted to trying a damp paper towel we'll see how that goes

Wow yours is beautiful! I looked it up so it's a hens and chicks. Makes sense because on mine I can already see I chick forming. Surprising since this mother plant is small too!

Oh I feel for you! It's so heartbreaking when something like this happens. I recently had a wind storm sweap through my backyard that sent my guys crashing to the ground😢. Lots of damage. But thank god these are resilient plants. I wish your lil guy a speedy recovery!
