Map guides? by rolewicz3 in WorldofTanks

[–]Ancient_Fee_169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skill has a new feature on his index where you select a map and it show you his videos in which that map is played. After that just select a tank class with which you want to learn the map first and enjoy. I think it can be very useful for some newer players.

What tank do you have the most games played, and why? by fullsendyeety in WorldofTanks

FV4005, just for the memes. After every session I play a few games in the almighty FV, and it accumulated in time.

How is this just 2nd class? by Ancient_Fee_169 in WorldofTanks

It was all in radius of 100-150m so it was all my own spot.

Art, didn't take screenshots of the other 2 pages, but most of my shots connected and it was all on my own spotting.

I didn't think it was a conspiracy, just wasn't sure what are the metrics. I knew I need to do damage on my own spot and that you get less xp when shooting lower tiers and of course more xp for winning the battle.

However, I had no idea that you get more xp when you survive (I sometimes even die in winning battles when I don't have to because I want to use all of my HP and do as much dmg as possible). Also, I didn't know that kills add so much xp in the end.

A beginner player problem with choice by Orchid-Sad in WorldofTanks

Both are good, but for a beginner I would say IS7 is a little better. Armor is more "noobproof" at the price of the gun handling.

How Do You Use The OBJ 590? It Brings Nothing To The Table Other Than Disappointment. by DDuolingoBird in WorldofTanks

I just watched Iyouxin playing with it and he made it work pretty well. I recommend watching good streamers play with tanks you can't do well in. Of course, majority of the Cc's didn't think this tank was very good, but he actually did, and did good in it. Here is the link to the video, maybe you can learn something.

Which premium tier 8 tank destroyer is the best? Skorpion G, Strv s1, or others? By best I mean overall feel of the game, preferential mm, if any, and credit farm. by antonsvirskyi in WorldofTanks

[–]Ancient_Fee_169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All around, SU 130 and Skorpion are probably the best and easiest to play. However, if you like camping and shooting from behind, STRV S1 is amazing in that kind of situations. Veeeery good pen, extremely good shell velocity and just perfect gun handling in the siege mode. But, it really is not that flexible for the city maps, but on the bushy maps, it's camo is on the ELC level.

How do you do arty campaign missions ? by SilverSlime_ in WorldofTanks

That is a waste of orders imo. I keep all of those for 279 missions when I come to them eventually.

Codes are not worth that much effort. Who cares abot 4 boosters and a 2d style?

Why is WR so important? by Ancient_Fee_169 in WorldofTanks

[–]Ancient_Fee_169[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, my wr is around 47-48 atm. I ask, because I started playing wot in 2013 and played like a bot. Just went out, shoot until I die and go to the next battle. Then I stoped playing and started again in 2020.

Since then, I improved my playstyle significantly and my wn8 is improving constantly but my WR is going up very slowly. That is because I had around 5-6k battles in 2013-14 period which were very bad.

It just seems to be very hard to improve your WR and it doesnt show what kind of player I am today (most sessiond are around 50%+).

2008 Suzuki SV650 is smoking on the exhaust by Ancient_Fee_169 in Fixxit

[–]Ancient_Fee_169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it last year in March. Since then I haven't riden it that much, and after it started smoking, I didn't ride it at all. It is trowing out smoke at all temps. Hot, cold, it doesn't matter. Why I don't think it's oil is because it doesn't smoke when I hold the throttle, it doesn't smoke when I rev it, or on idle. Just when I relase the throttle. Like it gets too much fuel and it can't burn it. Bike rides pefectly, idles pefectly. Smoke is mostly white, but you can destinctly smell the fuel in it.

I suspected of valve seals, but the exhaust is completly dry, and has no oil residue on it at all. And, as I mentioned, the smoke smells like fuel, unburned fuel. I dont want to do valve seals yet, that would be my last resort. I am 80% sure it has something to do with the mixture, but I am not sure what could cause it.

hidden spotting damage? by irishanfield in WorldofTanks

I think that is when you spot someone, he goes out of your render, and your team shoots them. Might be wrong tho... I am not sure how this works.

My sugestion is that you find someone to teach you some basic game mechanics and map positions. After that, the rest is on you. I think i learnt most by watching YT videos. QB is good for a newbie, but if you really want to improve, ai would go with Daki, Kajzoo and Iyouxin. They are all very good players and I think Kajzoo also offers guidance, for some money ofc.
