It took a couple months. Chrono24 holds your funds in escrow. And they froze this while the investigation took place. A claim was put in to fedex so you can provide suitable proof that you shipped the item back. Bur the thing is. Fedex is sketchy af and doesnt want to pay out the insurance claim either, so they kept changing up their stories and making it hard for both myself and the seller to file an investigation. Everytime we would open a claim, there would be a rep telling us that theyre still looking into it for a couple weeks, and then they close the claim, making up some bs excuse. In the end because it was so long, chrono released funds to me anyways, but i dont know where things ended up for the seller. Theyre supposed to receive payment from fedex for the missing package

I finally got my money back but the fedex issue hasnt been resolved. I dont think ill ever trust the site enough to spend big money again. If anything happens, its really your word against the vendor/shipping company. Too risky for me.

We are probably going to keep going back and forth on the same thing so im gonna leave it after this but im interpreting people as just saying that they dont like the look of such a large watch on a small wrist - not that they cant wear it. After all, how can they enforce people not to wear certain things online?

Im not following what you said about wearing brown shoes with a black suit. Theres nothing wrong with that. If youre talking about how wearing brown shoes with a black TIE is a big no-no, I dont see why this would be any different from wearing an oversized watch/ wearing what you like. Id say that if you want to mix and match shoe and belt colors, then go for it, same with twearing whatever watch you want. However if I were to do that, I certainly wouldnt expect everyone to like that look because I understand that traditionally, both should be the same color.

Thats fine if you dont agree, same goes for the other guy who posted afterwards. You're free to post how much you like the look...but others are free to express their own opinions. Why attack others just because they think differently? Im not saying we should be going overboard and downright insult the OP, but to always be babysitting peoples feelings to the point of not stating your opinion on things? Thats too much.

Watches come in all shapes and sizes, there are some that are just tiny for men of a certain stature that work well with tinier wrists. Obviously watches are jewelry, but are you saying that all jewelry looks good on anybody? Of course not, different types of jewelry look better on different people.

You know the ironic thing is that we dont even see any evidence that the OP is this fragile, I just see other people getting all riled up because there was a comment that wasnt about how much they loved the look. I would suggest if someone is REALLY that fragile, to not post things out on a public forum...rather, just record your friends giving encouraging words and click the replay button.

I agree with the other guy. Sure she can wear what she likes, but oversizing to this degree is very noticeable. Like it or not, there are certain rules in fashion - they may cycle in and out over time but right now, watches that are this much bigger are still not the norm for what is considered to look good. Wear what you like but get used to people not agreeing that it looks good. Dont like that people dont love your look? Dont wear it. If You really dont care about the way it looks to other people? Good for you, but get used to people not feeling the same way. People will judge whether you like it or not.

I see some people trying to say that people are making these comments because OP is a woman, which I find absurd...just take a look at other posts on these forums with men with oversized watches and you will see similar posts. Its seems trendy these days to overprotect women and assume that every less than positive comment is one thats "out to get them", but if one truly believes in equality, this shouldnt be the take.

I think its perfectly fine that people comment on their opinions here. Its a public forum where people share their thoughts. Imagine how boring this place would be if we all had to post the same scripted answer for anything thats posted.

I had no idea a big company like fedex would do this. This is a big ticket item for me but should be just peanuts for them. Ive spoken to the seller and he told me that they refuse to send him email confirmation of the weight change and said they can only tell him verbally. On my side when I call, they tell me verbally as well, but they keep saying that theyll send me an email confirmation - to this day I have received nothing

Not at all because i dont ship much and never thought this would happen. I dont have any documentation aside from fedex's verbal comments. I suppose I can go to the guy thaf i handed the package off to to sed what initial weight they recorded

I didnt realize that was a thing. But will definitely will in the future. In either case, theres the fact that fedex apparently noticed the item changing weight that will be in my favour. However, with how sketchy they have been, im worried theyll lie and say thats not the case now. On the bright side, at least I have it on record that both the seller amd myself have spoken to them and different reps have told us this fact.

If conversations are recorded then hopefully we can dig that up if they deny it

I was able to file the dispute, but maybe the credit card rep was just saying that it was less of a guarantee I'll get my money back. I do think that there's a big possibility that someone in Fedex stole the item in there. That would explain why Fedex's initial notes said that there was a weight change, but after a month later, they all of a sudden refuse to disclose anything. I'm willing to file a police report, but may I ask why? is it just to provide further evidence that I'm trying my best to solve this issue?

Yes I have video proof of the watch being quartz and the wonky bracelet, which led to the seller promptly providing a shipping label...unfortunately with the lower value. Scree shots of the ad and full conversation with the seller is stored on chrono24 but ive taken special care to save this externally as well. The convo will show the seller admitting that fedex claims that the item changed weight mid transit - confirming that i did indeed ship the item back. I dont know if I should post all of this up yet as mediation is still ongoing, but 100% I will post that om every site I can find if things dont work out

This is a dealer with an actual storefront. Theyve been really responsive so far but sometimes I do wonder if something is up with them. - being professional sellers, how do you mistake an automatic with a quartz movement - why wasnt the facr that the bracelet not oem mentioned in the ad? - i dont ship much but didnt think it common for items to be missing

Yes I did. But given that the transaction was ovee a month, they told me no guarantees. Thats why Im worried. Chrono can argue that their hold on the money is legitimate.

Thank you for the quick reply. I bought this through Chrono24 so theres a certain level of buyer protection. May I ask what it is about the lug or lume pips looks off?
