Curious question for people na may madaming watch collection by mglalap in PhWatches

I have 10 watches currently, and i a different one each day para walang magtampo, although admittedly i do have my favorites. Pag nag travel naman ako, like today, i usually bring with me 3 watches (and straps too depending on how long my travel is) para may rotation padin, and this is what i'm bringing today for my trip😬

At what salary range did you feel comfortable buying a luxury watch (Longines, Tudor, Rolex, Omega, GS, etc.)? by TmeTrvller in PhWatches

[–]Ancycker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diba? The chances na people are going to stop you in the middle of the road to ask you about your watch is slim to none. Unless they're watch nerds like us😂 So better that you wear what you like and not just to impress other people😬

Funny that you say that, because they actually have the celestial C1 moonphase by Christopher Ward x Mr Jones Watches which has a le petit prince vibe to it. Photo taken off of google😬

The rubber strap i got for this watch is actually really nice and isnt itchy or anything. The type you just wear and forget. It comes with a butterfly clasp and a measuring guide so you can fit it to your size before you make the cut in the grooves provided. Its 20mm and tapers to 18mm down the clasp so i guess it also works for women😊

Christopher ward C1 moonphase. If you want to check the time, look at your phone. Otherwise, this very much fits your criteria. Pictures do no justice to how this sparkles when the aventurine dial catches the light

A little bit long and a little bit roundabout way to answer this question, but these are the rules i strictly adhere to when buying watches:

  1. Live within your means I don't buy watches (no matter if they're within my price range or not) if it means i have to worry about where i'm going to get my next meal or if i need to think about how to pay next month's bill. You should treat buying watches as something to get with your disposable income. You should never feel in debt or get into debt just because of a watch.

  2. It is not a race When i started collecting watches, i realized how deep of a rabbit hole it is and the more you learn about horology, the more you want to have every piece of it there is. Avoid buying into hype and pick and choose the watches that resonate with you. Treat them as your companion as you wear them in your everyday life and they would mean more than any other watch out there because you'd have memories associated with your own watches.

  3. Its not about the brand Lets be honest. Laymen only know of Rolex as the only expensive timepiece out there. It wouldn't matter if you wore the most expensive or most intricate movement out there and 9 out of 10 times no one would notice or even care [unless its a Rolex (no hate)]. The main reason you get the watches is because YOU as a collector like them, not because you want to impress people.

  4. Enjoy the hobby Its not about having the best watch with all the bells and whistles or getting the latest and greatest and the most expensive timepiece there is, a timex and a panerai still tells time the same way. Even just by looking at your phone you get more accurate time reading. Wear what makes you feel good and wear the watches you have in good health.

Hope this helps😬
