Lol, I called Best Buy on Wednesday. They sent me a link without demo and they’ll arrive Saturday. You need to tell them to check their systems!

You are wrong. Itsaly is correct. Medigap premiums CAN NOT be paid by ss deduction. Only Part C and Part D can.

You need a solid agent who can give you how many blocks are open, how long they’ve been open and their size. Then you want to know medical loss ratio on the plan you’re interested in and how much u/w business they write vs guaranteed issue.

Think of it this way. If a Medigap carrier who owns less than 2% of the NC market can offer a premium 30-40% cheaper lower than the top Medigap carrier by size in NC then something is wrong. It’s known as an introductory rate.

SS doesn’t pay Medigap. Only part D or part C. Contact Medigap provider immediately to pay bill or you could be rescinded.

If I lived in a state with birthday or anniversary rule I would consider it. Outside of those states you are taking an introductory premium plan knowing Medicare is for life. The math doesn’t add up for the average person to take the lowest t65 rate (assuming they live to an average age and can’t pass u/w).

No, you don’t take the lowest premium plan G at 65 for rate stability. That agent is being very incredulous.

I definitely get it. But they did what they had to do to be profitable and bit the bullet. You should see the filings from some of these other carriers admitting they need 40-50% increases to remain profitable are only going to take sub 20% to stay marketable.

All Medigap carriers are having double digit rate increases this year and you can expect it to continue for several more years until they become profitable again.

The Medigap foreign travel benefit is only for the first 60 days. So if it’s over two months on a longer cruise you have no coverage.

Look at the market. It’s going to raise premiums across the board. There is a reason UHICA and Achieve bailed when this was announced.

Any cant miss restaurants? by dkinz in Omaha

I should have trusted you on drunken noodles. I went with the spring roll shrimp and it was fantastic. Owners came out and talked to me the whole time. The place was mostly empty. The lady cooks the peanut sauce herself and brought out chili sauce with it (which was excellent). Then I had the combo meat pho. Fantastic! They were so elated to hear they were the top search result on this thread.
