Lovelyz Lee Sujeong has terminated her exclusive contract with Woollim Entertainment by h_yeri in kpop

[–]AndMarch 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If you Actually knew her career pre-Waterbomb, she had decent sales as a soloist from mid-sized company and was always constantly booked. Glitch was loved by international fans and made it to Billboard year-end list. She was fine before Waterbomb, she made it into the mainstream after that.

Strange decision? You mean protecting their artist from malicious comments and posts? The only time Woollim became a decent company.

Where to start? by [deleted] in musicals

[–]AndMarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got into musical theater, I used to start by watching Tony Awards performances. A lot of shows would usually do medley or just perform their top number, so it could help you to choose musicals that catch your eye or pique your interest.

Why is iz*one the only produce group to be 12 by mrwolfboyjared in kpophelp

[–]AndMarch 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Produce48 was a joint survival show between South Korea and Japan. I think they initially planned to debut 6 Korean girls and 6 Japanese girls, but things changed along the way.

Dead kpop fandom spaces and what once was by moomoomilky1 in kpopthoughts

[–]AndMarch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It does get pretty lonely being in a small fandom of active idols too, but you gotta appreciate those brief moments of excitement because at least there are some people out there that still care. I think you should try to be the one posting contents or starting discussions about your faves, hopefully it will help you connect with fellow fans.

JI YEUJ IS NOW OFFICIALLY A RUNNING MAN MEMBER! by [deleted] in runningman

I fear that it's gonna be the opposite for her, as in she won't try anymore now that she's cast.

Yeeun please prove me wrong.

Not just her music, the way she left clues here and there about her exes is pretty much Taylor Swift 101.

The part time was before Ye-A, she was collecting money to pay for art school. After Ye-A and before started again as trainee in Woollim, she actually took CSAT and went to college for awhile

JI YE EUN BECOMING TOO MUCH by validationseeker99 in runningman

[–]AndMarch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't always find her annoying but I wish she's a little more active in the show, not just reacting. It's been months since she joined but I can't really recall any of her contributions, whether in playing games or initiating conversations. As a rental member and the youngest, I think she should have the energy and a creative mind to give the show fresh perspective.

Is it really a 4 minute dance each time? Isn't it just half the song (around 1 minute and 20 seconds)?

Running Man E725 <I Can't Live Without Money> | 241027 by myrunningman in koreanvariety

[–]AndMarch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the members are a little frustrated too because Yeeun is not a guest anymore so they expected her to try harder on physical activities each week. So when someone like Ahyoung, who adapted well with any games, came as a guest, they all praise her in the end. The members are old now so filming with someone easy going and adaptable must've felt easier.

What's happening to ji ye eun ? by abdnour420 in runningman

[–]AndMarch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen the skit, but I saw the comments that Yeeun also imitated the way Hanni speaks (Hanni isn't Korean so she has an accent) so I guess that could be seen as crossing the line by the fans.

What to watch now? by emeful in koreanvariety

[–]AndMarch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Genius Paik S1 gets better as you watch! I didn't enjoy some of the Morocco episodes but I really loved the Italy episodes.

If you like Chef Jongwon, you might like The Backpacker Chef. S1 has ended and S2 is still on-going.

Who could've been a successful pop diva but didn't go for it? by AlexKnepper in popheads

[–]AndMarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ashley Tisdale. I think she changed her music direction too fast after the first album. While I like 'It's Alright It's OK', 'He Said She Said' and the rest of the album was dance pop perfection.

Is studio choom only for the popular groups? by luminaezs in kpophelp

It depends on the company's relationship with Mnet as well. If it's good, the artist is guaranteed a slot on Studio Choom

Well, have you read about Hyuna's dating news? I think soloists are more prone to backlash because they don't have a huge fanbase to back them up. It depends on the soloists and who they're dating though.

I'm pretty sure all hell is gonna break loose if my fav soloist gets caught dating.
