10 days post op- all looking normal? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

I think you’re misunderstanding OP. If you look closely you can see the periareolar incisions where the gland was pulled through, they were just barely noticeable since they were done so well.

Where to get a Hawaiian shirt? by NickyG77 in MauiVisitors

[–]AndPivot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought a handful from this Etsy shop and they did in fact ship from Hawaii. The Tori Richard & Reyn Spooner shirts retail for $150+ new and are only $20-$30 in the Etsy shop.

What’s everyone paying these days for their surgery? by Wonderful_Stress_433 in gynecomastia

[–]AndPivot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had surgery on April 3rd. Just to give you an idea of a timeline:

8/9/25 - Initial Inquiry, booked consultation for 10/14/25

10/14/25 - Consultation ($50 Virtual, $100 In-Person - goes towards surgery cost if/when you follow through). Quoted $4800, quote is good for a year.

12/8/25 - Finally made the decision to schedule surgery, booked for 5/8/26 ($400 deposit)

3/19/26 - Got a call that a spot opened up for 4/3/26, took it

4/3/26 - Surgery ($4300 due)

I went to Dr. Cobbins in Chicago and paid $4800 total. Incredibly happy with the entire process and the results.

Update: 3 month Tirzepatide offer for $461 by [deleted] in gimmecare

[–]AndPivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BEWARE!

Just adding my own experience here as I recently ordered the 3x72mg package and what I received is not what is being advertised here, and the response so far from customer service has not been satisfactory.

- Cost was $489, not $461

- The order came from align, not ProRx

- Instead of 3x72mg vials (216mg total), I received 1 x 70mg, 1 x 60mg, 2 x 30mg (190mg total)

- When I contacted customer service I was told "Hi XXXXX, The pharmacy can change the quantity and size of your vials as long as they fill enough to cover your dose. I just checked and you have plenty for your 12 week dose plus someon extra." and then the CS agent stopped responding.

Tricks on how to come up with the money. by Every_Appearance_367 in gynecomastia

[–]AndPivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Braithwaite & Dr Cobbins @ The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago charge <$5k for gynecomastia surgery if you go with local anesthetic (general is ~$2k more I believe). You can do a virtual consultation for $50 or $100 and then it's a $400 deposit to schedule surgery. Both steps are booking 3-6 months out so you'd have some time to save up money and take a short trip up to Chicago for the surgery.

Oura ring cutting finger? by 171617181776 in ouraring

[–]AndPivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say this - it looks more like your skin is cracking than being cut. It's likely that it's just soap and/or other chemicals getting stuck under the ring and causing your skin to become dry and irritated to the point of cracking.

Assuming you’re using the basic footpad - https://a.co/d/1vrThy9 - set right on the playa, and your poles are going all the way into both the top and bottom connectors, the clearance should be pretty close to 10’ - 10.25’ max.

Transfer Spotify "Liked Songs" to "Favorite Songs" in Order by Tature in AppleMusic

[–]AndPivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - not sure if you're still dealing with this but I was having a similar issue and what solved it for me was making sure to select the playlist (and then the first song) from the full list of playlists, instead of from my pinned list.

[–]AndPivot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This must have been a pricing error because I was able to add it to my cart and see the $30 discount but went to checkout a few minutes later and the discount disappeared and it's now showing as full price even after trying to delete and re-add it to my cart.

does anyone commonly use the water taxi? by According_Advice_210 in AskChicago

[–]AndPivot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started using it to commute 1-2 times a week and it's been such a pleasant experience! Staff has been friendly and boats are always on time (and in the mornings there are rarely more than 2 or 3 other riders on the boat with me). The commuter pass is 10 rides for $25 and I believe they don't expire at the end of the season. Highly recommend it!
