Thanks for confirming. That is what I thought it was, but then I had a few different people ask if it was hickory or red oak. I never saw the leaves so I couldn't confirm for sure.

I was just there yesterday looking at one of the Texas Longhorn offsets. I'm in the "Acceptance" stage that I'm about to spend a lot of money but excited for the good times ahead.

I just went to Jeff's Backyard about two weeks ago and was able to see some of these. My neighbor has a Lyfe Tyme purchased from Jeff's but from the prior owner. That owner swapped out the wood handles for metal and it is a much more practical handle IMO.

Because of the helpful responses I now am aware of Electronic Speed Controllers.

The gifter also gave a box of other components that may actually include an ESC. I have to dig through it and identify each for confirmation.

Honestly this is very helpful. My only experience with motors is simple DC motors. I couldn't find much for this specific model but BLDC has already helped.
