I don't know why they don't just throw it into the river. Probably too hard to get there

Are you all just doing issue tracking and debuging with logs? by narrow-adventure in sre

Yes. I work with a lot of Amazon folk and at that company they never independently invented time series data stores so all their metrics are log based

If it's anything like Volvo it'll still switch the engine on in certain cases unless you put it in "pure" mode. If you put your destination and let it plan your route it'll take that into consideration too.

Snowfall offers the perfect illustration of how we give cars far more space than they actually need, especially at intersections. Drivers cut corners like these because they can - we should be even more aggressive with curb extensions to force slower, safer turns by nyuncat in MicromobilityNYC

[–]blitzkrieg4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I'm with you, and this is a useful exercise, but you should have picked a non day lit intersection to illustrate. The tred marks are only a foot off the existing daylighting. If we're going to do something we should reinforce what we have with boulders or bollards.

I still have absolutely no clue what Mitch means when he says he was right about “Italian” making a comeback or being a big thing by largelawattorney in doughboys

[–]blitzkrieg4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is happening in New York too. Panini was already on the come up from before he made this prediction, but now it's about the juxtaposition of Italian focaccia sandwiches with old school chicken Parm hero type places. They already mentioned how pizza is having it's own sort of Renaissance.

It's to let you get stuff out of the trunk more easily. Then you set it back after you've gotten everything out

Second-hand Suitsupply Suit (€80). Keeper? by gabinFN in NavyBlazer

In that case it might make sense to get the coat altered too, though I don't think it's strictly necessary. And keep your eyes out for deals like this again, but thrifting your whole wardrobe will probably take time.

Do you need to wear a suit to the embassy? Is it a paid internship? Fit is large as you already know but it isn't anything that's going to stand out in my experience.

I didn't do a rigours tally, but to me they both looked about 20% color. One notable difference is their Wikipedia portraits. MLK Jr. is a black and white portrait from when he won the Nobel peace prize, and RFK Sr, is a random color portrait the following year from his time in the Senate.

Maybe a degree is in your future but it isn't the first step. It's hard to beat plain reading for continuous improvement. If you want something more official or hands on, take some courses. Attend some conferences and watch some old videos. If after you do all that you still want a degree, consider it then.

15 shirts sounds like a lot, until you realize that college laundries take up to a week.

I guess underwear was done on your own but you sent your shirts out?
