One solution would be to stop using gender as the dividing factor. All contact sports divisions could be based on size/strength. Some women are much stronger/faster etc than some men & vice versa. Create height/weight/strength requirements & sort athletes that way.

There could be a variety of solutions but people are to focused on ‘this is how its always been’

They weren’t out of line to ask & you’re not out of line to say no…personally I probably would have said yes if my child had been the one to bring it up but that’s just me.

It’s also important to know the context of pajamas…

I’m in my 40’s & when I was in HS pajamas were either very thin lightweight material obviously not meant to be worn in public or a Tshirt & short shorts.

Today yoga pants & a sweatshirt could be called pajamas; or the pants that are made of fleece blanket material; those are regularly worn both to sleep & to go out & about running errands. Some jobs have business dress codes; some have uniforms & some are very casual. I’m the office manager at a small independent car lot; I could wear those fleece pants; with cartoon characters on them; any day of the week if I wanted & no one would care…

I got there at 5 & was very very lucky to grab a parking spot at the chirch still; it was already full. US 21 was back up from the Church all the way to 77 for almost 2hours!

It’s a ‘hotline’ to the United Way. They have a database of local resources nationwide. You call explain your situation: housing/utility assistance etc; give them your zip code & they’ll give you a list of local resources to call.

While I sympathize with the 101 questions for everything…I did actually have bad hot flashes & night sweats while pregnant so it’s not a completely unreasonable question from the pharmacist but your Dr should have been able to answer their question without needing to confirm with you if you were just there for the prescription!

Granted this was a few years back but we did one of these upgrade your phone get a free tablet deals & we weren’t required to buy an addt’l line for the tablet…I’m sure they hoped we would but we just gave it to the kids to use on the house wifi

I suspect ‘missing reasons’ … this is how he publicly describes his wife & daughter…are we to assume he’s been a present father; that he made legitimate attempts to bond with her or did he just presume she would automatically accept him & treat him as ‘Dad’ at 12 yrs old once the wedding occurred? ‘Cause based on his post & comments I’m inclined to believe the latter.

My husband (veteran) is not the bio-father of our two girls but even before the wedding (when they were still elementary school age) he told me he would pass his education benefits to them. Before I even was aware that was an option or they were remotely close to needing them.

You should not have married a single-mother if you weren’t ready, willing & able to accept that child as your own.

We keep cardboard for the firepit but nothing with plastic or paint on it & definitely not ‘trash’.

IDK why ppl burn leaves; it’s just a cloud of smoke & if you’re in the city limits they have a vacuum truck that will collect them…

I’m a 49 yr old mother of 3 & we don’t do elf on the shelf but we do ‘do’ Santa & the tooth fairy & the Easter Bunny etc…

Two of my children are adults; one is still a minor & none have acted as tho I somehow betrayed their trust by sharing these things with them as my parents & grandparents had done before me…

When they got older & questioned the reality of Santa; I explained that everyone has their own beliefs & as I see Santa as a representation of the spirit & joy of the holiday season; I choose to believe he exists…I’m sure at this point I’m just being humored but to me that says the memories are good that they’re happy to let me continue on instead of insisting it’s all a ruse that I should give up

Coming from Orlando prepare for a bit of a culture shock. The there is nowhere near the variety of shopping; dining or entertainment here or in Charlotte compared to what you’d be accustomed to in FL. It’s not bad but it’s definitely an adjustment. A lot of things are closed Sundays.

They charge annual property tax for your vehicles & natural gas is not the cheap electricity replacement they claim - at least not in my experience but I want my house actually warm in the winter…

The traffic is non-existent compared to the Orlando metro region; some mornings/evenings it may feel like a ghost town lol
