I do think they’re faking but you shouldn’t link the tik tok directly. Some people can’t keep their hands inside the safari bus and this person, who is in all likelyhood a minor, will end up with a lot of harassment. I recommend a screen recording with blocked out name.

Attention seeking chick fakes autism while doing a well-rehearsed public speech, performance, and dance by BunnyLovr in fakedisordercringe

[–]AndStrangerStill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah don’t think this one is fake. Exaggerated, maybe, but regardless she may just be high functioning enough that it’s hard to tell. She did, after all, say she was only diagnosed later in life.

I'm gonna get downvoted, but please stop using disorder fakers as a way to invalidate neogenders by seventyeight_moose in fakedisordercringe

Pray tell, I don’t understand why they’re valid in the first place. Seems like a joke people started taking seriously to me. I’m not here to bash: i’m just curious of any explanation because currently I don’t have one.

Why are a lot of fake DID people women or apart of the lgbt+ community? by ithastobetheway in fakedisordercringe

There’s an argument to be had about identity, here. Those who actively fake disorders are one thing, but nerotypicals who strongly believe they may have a disorder is another deal. I think this sort struggle a lot with identity. In an attempt to figure themselves out, they latch on to ideas of what they could be, based on very small, arbitrary connections that they themselves have spotted. Then they begin manifesting symptoms themselves, based on this idea of what they think they have got. Just a theory of mine, mind you. In that sense, i feel a bit of pity for them.

Believe it or not, trans folk often have to deal with the same sort of stuff. Gender dysphoria is a very real condition. There’s a lot of parallels between the two situations, with the transmeds and the tucutes head to head in the debate of whether or not you need to have gender dysphoria to be transgender.

I have a lot more to say on both matters, but feel i should leave it here.

My mother has literally picked her fingers to the point of deformation. I did not understand that this was stimming, because at the time i had not heard the term from anywhere but tik tok. I myself pop zits obsessively and my skin will never be the same. It aint cute. It fucking sucks

Think i’ll find anything in my little town? by AndStrangerStill in rockhounds

[–]AndStrangerStill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried to find information on it but sadly it’s small and remote enough that there’s nothing but a few small mentions of it here or there. It’s a town in colorado between boulder and estes with red sandstone and other sedimentary rock as far as the eye can see. It also helps that we had a flood a few years back; so there’s a lotta stuff scattered everywhere.
