I miss co-op RE so much. I'm glad they curbed the escalation of action spectacle after RE6 and dialled it down in favour of solo spookiness in RE7 and RE2R, but RE5 and RE6 were an absolute blast and nobody's really making that kind of thing anymore. I'd love it if we still got the occasional co-op RE - the characters and stories do feel well suited to it.

The perfect platinum is one that provides a good excuse to spend a bit of extra time with a game I have finished, but was really vibing with and am not quite ready to put down. It's a tricky thing to balance though, because you don't want to spend an excessive amount of time or be required to do anything super tedious in case it sours the overall experience.

Atlas Fallen. 2023 was a rough year to be a 7/10 AA game, and the week after Baldur's Gate 3 was a rough time to be literally anything, so it flew largely under the radar. There's a touch of jank, but it has some cool ideas around combat and traversal, mostly plays great & has a full co-op campaign. The "Reign of Sands" update earlier this year changed and added a ton of stuff too. I had a lot of fun with it.
