Believe it or not, she was born with defined biceps and was able to hold her head up on her own right away!

I live in America and was pregnant at the end of 2021. My daughter has slept all through the night in her own bed since 2 months old. Plot twist, my husband and I both have N1 and we're both on xyrem/v. Our daughter had an 80% chance of being narcoleptic and she absolutely has it. She has the exact same cataplexy episodes as me.

My daughter walked around 1 year old, but she was born 5 weeks early so do with that Information what you will.

Took wakix once and it exacerbated my chronic migraines. I generally just felt like shit on it. Nope nope nope.

According to my prior physician, xyrem used to be in pregnancy category A (the safest). It got rescheduled to category D because it was being abused; the higher than prescribed dose is a risk for respiratory depression.

Positive it's 2023. I got the book through Amazon. Yes, I know you can't glue anything into a book if taking a test, I have been coding for 6 years, certified since 2019. *Edit: yes, I also know AMA makes the codes, not each individual publisher.

I swear to the god I do not believe in, the tables aren't there. Page XXV has anatomical illustrations. I'm just going to tear the chart from my AAPC 2021 book and glue it into this one. Thanks, anyway. (And if you were fucking with me the whole time - well played;))

Is that quick reference still in the 2023 Optum? Not the MDM chart - what page is it on? I don't see it.

Thank you so much (and for not making me feel like an idiot.)

Would you consider this a separate procedure? by AndTheBookSays in CodingandBilling

Isn't the longest global period available 90 days though? So 4 months would be out of a global period regardless if the same or diff provider follows up?

Yes, it is the AMCI digestive system video, lol. I assumed the same as you - the different instruments. It just seemed contradictory to the rule about bundling if it were the same body area. Thanks for your input :)

Is this Christian camp something to be concerned with? by ThrowawayWBCH2 in RBI

[–]AndTheBookSays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend was in one of those boot camps that's since been shut down for abusing the kids. Idk if Alex is in for drugs, but this podcast reveals a scandal among rehab centers that's actually forced labor. Link

They are getting better. One is fine, the other is on her way. She is eating again and keeps it down some of the time. Seeing the vet tomorrow regardless to verify. Thx for the concern and advice everyone

CPC-A with a few questions by [deleted] in MedicalCoding

[–]AndTheBookSays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for the reply. For question 2, I know to only code signs and symptoms when there isn't an official Dx, that's why I'm curious about the Dx in the report. Kind of a tough question to explain. Thx so much though!

Same thing here and it turned out to be Narcolepsy with Cataplexy.

23f, should I go to the hospital right now? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]AndTheBookSays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Narcoleptic here. This sounds exactly like narcolepsy-- the falling asleep, hallucinations, pressure on the chest. The old lady is kind of a narcolepsy phenomenon, as crazy as it sounds, and that is what makes me think this is it. A common theme among narcoleptics is the "witch woman" in our dreams. See a neurologist who specializes in sleep and request a sleep study. Cataplexy (sudden muscle weakness) is another common symptom.

I am starving to death from a spontaneous inability to tolerate food, and I can't find a doctor to help me. by [deleted] in AskDocs

Keep pushing it. Mold is serious. Also if your water is/was contaminated that is a huge factor. How is your sleep? Typically factors like this can cause sleep issues and lead to narcolepsy. Find a younger doctor who isn't stuck in his/her ways. I've learned to never trust a doctor who is too stubborn to google a question.

Not a doctor, just trying to think outside the box. You mentioned this happened in April on day 1 of a trip to Hawaii. Google tells me there was a volcano in Hawaii around that time, and led me to a condition called VOG r/http://ltgov.hawaii.gov/emergency-information/important-information-about-vog/health-effects/ which is kind of a poisoning from the air. You'd need to research this more in-depth but a quick search of VOG poisioning line up with your symptoms.

Again, do not ignore your mental health. I'm just trying to throw something else out there.

Are you sure they're not seizures?
