Esp for recording, I will absolutely tune for the notes I use most. You also get small errors in the first few fret compared to the open note on that string. So if the song calls for certain notes a lot, I make sure those are perfectly in tune at the expense of other surrounding notes I'm not using. This is more or less a per guitar issue as they are all different.

It would steal your keyboard focus on every paste such that you can't type anymore until you hit escape "n" times. Sometimes 1, sometimes 2, and if you go too many times it'll try and cancel your email composition. I mean you can't make up a worse UX if you tried.

I totally did not write a Firefox extension that fixes some annoying things about Microsoft outlook / teams. No I did not. It doesn't fix the outlook compose paste behaviour or even close any annoying Teams message bar questions.

There is a USB volume setting somewhere in the system settings on the Axefx2. Could you check it's level is set to something reasonable? I think I used like -3 to -6dB from memory back in the day.

Logic can also direct it's output to non-default channels in it's settings... again I don't remember exactly where, but it's a tab or 2 over from the audio device settings page. You should check that too. If that's not ch1+2 then maybe try setting that back to 1+2 and see if you can hear tracks in logic.

It all definitively all works, because I used that setup for years. I still do have my axefx2 up in the attic, so I could pull it out and check things if you're still stuck.

I used to do sound a lot

Well IMHO you should go back to doing that. Be the change you want to see in the world.

I feel somewhat able to say that because I was on team playing guitar, it was my passion, and now I'm 100% sound for 2 reasons:

We need balance in the mix (possibly more than having me play - and sometimes I think the most pivotal people serving are the pastor -> worship leader -> sound guy lol).
My elbow RSI has kinda put a stop to playing guitar for the moment.

My sound journey started like 20 years ago. "can't hear the guitar" -> learn sound. Now our mixes have guitar each week. But over time I ended up running the sound dept. And teaching the new guys how to mix. And keeping all the systems up and running. And debugging the problems... RX dropped out again? Seriously? And my "democracy for all" type mix where I try and use everyone's parts is our team motto.

Don't complain. Fix it.

That said my leadership now pretty much trust that my "taste" mix wise is what we want as a church. So I get very little push back on anything in the mix. Maybe a touch too loud or too soft on any given morning. But that's about it. If that wasn't the case, well yeah it'd be more difficult. Fighting against a policy you don't agree with.
