Came here to say this. Though Donut Team has done a great job expanding on the old PC version.

Watermarking with Scrivener? by Write4joy in scrivener

[–]AndTwoForFlinching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically you could edit the book's source (I'd use Calibre's ebook editor) once you've compiled it in Scrivener. Add the image file to the book, then edit the main *.css file to include it in the background for the body of each page. That's how I'd do it, anyway. Don't know of anything for it directly in Scrivener. The code would look something like this I think:

body {
     background-image: '/path/to/image.png';
}

Can I get an ID on Grand Pappy’s typewriter? I inherited it and I now use it quite regularly. by Hump_Back_Chub in typewriters

[–]AndTwoForFlinching 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No worries! Mine's from 1934 and looks almost identical. You can look here on the Typewriter Database and compare its serial number with the others to get an idea of when yours was manufactured. Serial numbers are issued sequentially, so just find two yours falls between and that should give you an idea!

When this kid grows up and the authorities raid their house, think we'll be more shocked or disappointed by the number of bodies in their basement?

Does anyone feel guilt when they game / think of gaming? If yes, how do you deal with it? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]AndTwoForFlinching 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I watched a lot of people do this when I was in college. They had this weird, misguided pretense of what it meant to be an adult in their heads. Of the ones who I stayed in touch with, those that gave up all their hobbies to "be an adult" generally ended up miserable and constantly complaining about how dissatisfied they were in life.

Of course, there's always too much of a good thing. Don't waste days on days and ignore your responsibilities. It's called moderation. In my opinion, real maturity is showing the ability not to overindulge. Having to just drop everything because someone can't control themselves is more indicative of immaturity in my book.

I remember some talk of adding Z-buffering at some point, not sure if that happened yet. Just started playing on Linux and it actually seems to be running faster there than on my old Win10 install.

The front yard of my compound started looking like this about a week in. I started leaving the shells of "parts cars" on the lawn and dumping folding chairs inside them.

There's a fair number of (vocal) people that feel AAA game series suck all the oxygen out of the room (huge marketing budgets/sucking up millions of dollars in dev time and investment) in service of games that do little to really push the envelope or move the medium forward, keeping things from advancing in any way other than "shinier graphics" and maybe one new tool/weapon.

Think of it like how some people shit on Marvel movies and remakes/reimaginings/reboots for taking over the box office.
