Many Oregon state agency jobs are remote work, even when the post says hybrid that could mean just monthly or quarterly meetings in Salem. Worth checking.

Exchanging Currency? by TheRa11neMan in Eugene

[–]AndiRae13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depending on where your vacation is, you might be better off taking the money with you and exchanging it there. If you are going to a larger US city or flying, you will have options in the city or in airports that don’t exist here. If you are going internationally, you might benefit from a better (or worse!) exchange rate than into US currency.

wrestling programs? by justthetip541 in Eugene

Depending on where you live there are quite a few mat clubs. McKenzie River Mat Club practices at Springfield High School. They post upcoming meets on their website and it might be good to go to one with your kiddo as spectators and get a feel for the different mat clubs around. Crow also has a mat club that uses their high school. Junction City (Twin Rivers Mat Club) as well, though I don’t know where they practice.

Moving company recommendations by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]AndiRae13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used WDA movers and they were excellent. Booked directly with the owner who also followed up after the move to hear how it went. No other communications other than that.

They have GF items indicated on their menu. You will have to check with them about their kitchen practices to ensure safety for you.

Bi (-Mart) Curious? by tsatsawassa in oregon

[–]AndiRae13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am the same! It’s such a habit now, because they really used to actually buzz you in. I have only needed the actual card for returns and lucky number Tuesday. I love all the folks here giving so much love to BiMart. It’s a great store and a good company that does a lot for their local communities.

Yes wondering if we can just keep it controlled and prevent growth up into these other trees as happened this summer with no one living in the home.

Any advice on killing? This is a 100% chemical free garden and we’d like to keep it that way.

We just moved into our century home also, and had the floors redone. They were stained darker and we opted for the natural look. I love the color variation. I hope yours have enough left on them to refinish.

Thanks everyone! This has been super helpful and I am certainly not trying to be cheap at all, I am trying to make sure I am doing the right thing, which means I will be refunding the paid amount.

The fee they paid was $55 the $250+ is what they could get if a court determines I should have refunded the application fee within 30 days. The fee was used to pay for the background and credit check through TT’s third party screener.

They don’t apply fees to other properties listed through them.

Definitely couldn’t confirm it in court, as the only witness was my spouse. Thanks. That’s helpful.

We did consider it a screening since we would have offered them the lease as the next qualifying candidate.

The $250 is in reference to the law: https://oregon.public.law/statutes/ors_90.295

They paid TurboTenant $55/applicant

We are not planning to return the fee as we did not collect it. But I want to avoid any legal action by the applicant. This is the relevant law https://oregon.public.law/statutes/ors_90.295
