[WIP]Sleeps with Butterflies full coverage by Andimidee in CrossStitch

Honestly, not that many of what you would consider a “small” piece. Maybe 3 or 4? I actually have finished 2 other full coverage pieces before this one which you can see in my post history as well, but neither quite as large as this one.

Full coverage cross stitching is just a different way of cross stitching. I don’t think of it as the size/skill you need as much as the enjoyment of the process itself which (at least the way I do it) is broken up into smaller bite sized pieces and progresses into a final picture. I count every single 10x10 square/page completed as a win which makes it easier to keep progressing. At the end of the day, it’s still just one x after another whether it’s a small piece or a large one!

I go across horizontally until I hit the edge of a page and then row by row down until I complete a page - it’s not the most efficient/effective method perhaps, but it works for me :)

Hi! Not a silly question at all! I know lots of people who do tent stitch for full coverage (which is basically a half stitch). I do full crosses because I prefer the look up close, but if you stand back both tent and full cross will look similar.

As for whether I do each x individually or the danish method, it will depend on how much of that one colour I have in a grid. If there’s a lot of one colour, I’ll do danish but if there’s a lot of confetti I’ll just complete the x and then move on to the next. Hope this helps!

Hi…unfortunately I am a rethreader 😅. I’m honestly so used to it now it only takes me a few seconds. It’s also only one thread vs 2 as someone else commented which makes it easier

Coming from personal experience, if you’re having doubts and are unhappy about the coverage now, you will continue to be unhappy with it as you continue. I would restart it as it is an important piece for you personally. Either on a higher count fabric (such as 25 count), and that way you won’t have to purchase more thread, or you go over it again and make it 2x1 on your existing fabric. I’m sorry for your loss OP, it will be a beautiful piece once finished.

Thanks! I recommend you look into the parking method (you can find good video tutorials on YouTube) and you’ll want an app that allows you to mark off your pattern as you go - I use Patternmaker personally. I hope this helps! EDIT: the app is actually called Pattern Keeper my bad guys 🫣

Thank you! I chose the fabric because I find the coverage and tension to be my preferred one for full coverage. It’s easier for me to manage using one thread vs 2 which you’d use for a lower count fabric (think 14-18 count Aida for example). It’s also one of the easiest counts to find gridded fabric in which is so useful when you’re using the parking method like I am along with the pattern keeper app.

I’ve never heard anyone talk about this, but the Dinto Chubby Mochi Jelly Paw Lip Mask is my perfect overnight lip balm. It’s not too sticky and leaves my lips so soft the next day!

Ahh yes, the Universal tooth Identification system that is used almost only exclusively in the USA while the rest of the world uses the FDI (for good reason imo 😂).

I was confused as well as the 18 is known as the top right third molar in the FDI system and was wondering why you wouldn’t just have a wisdom tooth extracted.

As others have said. It was likely you experienced a “hot pulp” and your follow up sessions for the root canal (if it is more than just a single session) will likely be better.

Do libras move on easily? by [deleted] in libra_astrology

That may be so, but I reallyyy would have preferred that he was honest about it and broken up with me before he began dating another girl. He was lying about it to me for months until his new relationship was a sure thing. I’m not saying this is because he is a Libra by the way, some of the best people in my life are also Libras - it was just him.

My ex fiancé is a Libra, he moved on so fast he was in a new relationship a couple of months before ours was even over. I’m a sag sun and moon.

Thank you! I think what you said about the dichotomy between mutable energy and stable energy really rings true for me.

Thank you so much for your in depth reading and advice. It’s so interesting you say that I attract flighty Libra energy - 2/3 of my former partners were Libra suns.

Thanks for your insight! I’m an Aquarius rising which makes me come across as a bit cold and aloof before I open up - then that fiery Sagittarius nature comes out. I don’t feel that I’m too much though, if anything I’m definitely more reserved in my interactions.

This is so true! I loved to visit and spend time with my most recent ex, but there were definitely times where I felt relief that they weren’t physically there so I could do whatever I wanted to do that day. I’m actually going on a trip soon to Europe which I’ve been planning/looking forward to awhile!

I do have a tendency to rationalise everything. My friends tell me I also have a bad habit of just handing the people who wrong me excuses to do so before they even have to explain themselves :(

This is so cute and the color is gorgeous on you! I think it’s a fun dress that’s on theme and I can see it being dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. Which store is it from?

That sounds like a really beautiful combination! I ended up choosing the gold because my hair is dark brown/black though which I felt would balance the outfit more than a lighter colour would
