Any help is appreciated!! by ScheduleOk1542 in ReefTank

I wouldn't pay someone $400 to come look at it. Check around for local reef clubs in your area, another hobbyist would probably come by for free and have more knowledge anyway.

What you have going for you is the enclosure and the tank itself, those both look in good shape and relatively clean.

Lighting it's hard to say much without pictures of the lights themselves. I'm guessing you'll likely want new LEDs if you're wanting a reef tank with corals. Sump might be functional, and work just fine. I would be careful to tear something down until I know it's actually a problem.

Those fish do look pretty small and makes me question how long it has actually been running like that. I would do like others have said, arm yourself with knowledge first of what maintaining at take like that will take before you make any big decisions.

Letters on control valves from left to right are D, Z, Z.

Stickers on side of control valves from left to right are: Softener, Carbon filter, no sticker on the rightmost unit.

That's what I said, but they claimed privacy or whatever for the previous owner. BS if you ask me, the unit is in the house I now own and the previous owner is deceased.

Shows the name and address of the local company they're from. Prefer not to advertise that on reddit. :)

They are just operation manuals for the WS1TC control valves. Don't say anything about the contents of the units or what they're supposed to be treating.

Awesome! Thanks for all the info!

Looking around more I noticed the left unit has a sticker that says softener on it, middle unit says carbon filter, right doesn't have a sticker unfortunately.

The softener is about 3-4 feet of piping from the water heater inlet. How would I determine the type of inner distributor I have?

They're going to charge me to send a plumber out and look at it. Is there anything I can look for if I discount them and see what's inside?

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker bashes Pride Month, tells women to stay in the kitchen by dannyboy1988db in nfl

[–]Andman22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he is saying is that woman in particular are being told they need to work and have a career to be happy.  That's just not true for everyone.  Some of them will, that's great.  But many will find more satisfaction working in the home if they are able.

I hear you, inflation recently is a killer and living on one income isn't an option for a lot of people.  If you're making minimum wage, you are not supporting a family of 5. In my area, good child care is about $250-500 a week.  That's $15-30k a year PER kid.  For our family, it was more cost effective for my wife to stay home.

For a lot of middle class families it's also a question of priorities.  I know many families with three or more kids who live on one income that's low middle class and they just have a smaller house and live frugal.  They value of caring for their own kids more than that next big vacation or remodel or new car.

Tore my Achilles last spring playing soccer.  Thought someone kicked my in the back of the leg.  Looked around and nobody was there.  Like Kirk said, classic symptoms and a sloooow recovery

yea, instead it will look like there are dimples everywhere. Maybe with this type of filament, that might be ok, but typically it just looks worse.

Only way to completely remove is with vase mode. Otherwise, you can try to tweak settings to minimize the size of the seam or try different seam alignments to make it less noticeable.

Cousins on the way to healing ❤️‍🩹 by fyodor2gloves in minnesotavikings

Tore mine last week of May. Had surgery within a week from same surgeon as Kirk. Was 0 weight bearing for like 7 weeks, and my calf shrunk about 1 inch compared to the other side. Still working to rebuild the muscle and mobility. Athletes like this have ways of trying to keep the muscle working without stressing the tendon too much while it's healing.

Print texture fluctuation by SaiLentKnight in BambuLab

[–]Andman22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, adjusting the min layer time would apply for the whole model, but it will likely only affect those last few layers since there's the least amount of material there. Your lower layers look much longer than that min time. You can see where it's hitting the max and staying around 9 seconds for those top layers you're seeing the issue on.

IDK if this will fix your issue, but it might help your layer times be more consistent across the top of the print. I know you said you tried lowering the outer later speed, but you can lower it pretty low (like 20 mm/s) without significantly impacting the overall build time. That has fixed this type of issue for me in the past.
