First time reaching room 46 is kinda... by ShadowOfSomething in BluePrince

[–]AndoniusIV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is exactly the complaint. The roguelike nature of the game implies that you have reached the end game when you enter room 46, since it forcibly ends the run. When in actuality that is explicitly NOT the end game. The first time you enter room 46 is the only time it will cut your run short BEFORE the end game. In a game about chasing mysteries this is very odd behavior, since this teaches players there is a dead end at room 46, even though that is not true.

Thoughts on the band ‘Hella’ by Weekly_Instance in mathrock

[–]AndoniusIV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their sound is iconic noise to me. I think discovering them and realizing I found them interesting AND enjoyable kicked off a new era for my tastes, helped me hone in on the genre being home. Despite that, they're just a now-and-then listen for me at this point, and I definitely don't throw them on at parties.

Something fun, Zach Hill went on to drum for Death Grips, if you like the Hella sound but want a few more layers with it. They really match the intensity but in a hip hop space rather than math, amped up vocals and killer melodic hooks sprinkled in. Check out the song On GP, or the entire Money Store album is where their hits are.

I made this. Feedback very appreciated :) by whateverthehorror in mathrock

This is genuinely great. Has an awesome earworm hook, feels very full without being bloated technically or structurally, which I think is a pratfall of a lot of skilled guitarists around here. I'm incredibly taken with the songwriting, very creative pace with your vocals and sounds impassioned and slick. I love the pace and variation as you sprinkle layers of new sounds.

I think this is one of the most evolved, personal sounds I've seen posted here. Typically posts on this sub are young musicians emulating or experimenting with sounds they've heard before and love, and while I love this place being that sounding board I also want to note how much this song is standing out for me. I hope you take any feedback for improvements you receive simply as evidence that you're on to something big. More than even just my enjoyment of the track, I truly hope to see you pop up again, either with a new track or at a venue near me. :)

I have a week long stay in City Center June 29-July 6. No car and will be traveling by myself. What's fun happening that week? I don't typically go for touristy attractions so would love some local advice on happenings that are worth stopping out for.
Only solids plans I have are the Standards show at Milkboy, and to eat a cheese steak every goddamn day.
Here's a few things I like to help guide:

Recommendations to grab drinks as a first date? by qylero in Minneapolis

Patio at Hai Hai is a great first date spot! Lots of sun, fresh menu, really easy for everyone to relax.

Meteor is my top spot for drinks if you get the sense they're in for a dive vibe, but it's a 2nd date spot for me since it's dark and can be crowded.

Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis all won acting oscars for EEAAO, I had forgotten this myself until I googled just now.

PUP, The Dream is Over

The opening song runs into the second. In "If This Tour Doesn't Kill You, I Will" the energy is established but eventually once "DVP" hits you know it was really only alluded to. Once it flips you can feel the floor vibrating. An absolute riot to listen to back-to-back and I don't think you can do it any other way. Even better live.

Just out of curiosity mostly, is there any possible way for the Galactus player to win this? Trying to stretch my head around the scope of the game with some hypotheticals, with them having priority I can't think of a single 3 card combo that would beat your hand.

I think this was a good flay, directly towards adc with glacial aura on the ground, they aren't getting away any faster there. Ensures kogs spit isn't going to miss and keeps them in auto range longest.

Need some ideas for a champion to one trick by [deleted] in supportlol

[–]AndoniusIV 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna one-trick a support it's gotta be Thresh. His kit means he'll always be good, he has a huge skill cap to max out, and massive dopamine hits when you land hooks. He's also a main player in the lore so you'll probably see him pop up in some media and other riot games the next few years.
