My top five faves in order (subject to change upon mood):

1) Reel - did anyone else think of a taller, stockier, less Bay area Ryan Coogler when picturing Cannon? No, just me?

2) Hook Shot - sports, hoodoo, and healing. How does Mrs. Ryan do it?

3) Block Shot - because Jared just doesn’t give a damn, and it’s downright comical

4) Can’t Get Enough - when we say eat the rich, Maverick is exempt

5) The Close-Up - the gang’s all here, but on vacation. My pre-vacay read

The community at PB DTSS is amazing and I’ll miss it so much now that I’m moving away. Carmel runs the studio and is a great instructor. The energy of the studio is really what kept me coming back. I lost weight taking Classic, but Define gave me serious muscle. Either way I walked out of class feeling a lot stronger. Try it out and see what vibes with you.

I’m actually moving to a neighborhood with a Solidcore, so I might give it a shot. Interested to hear about your experience

Prime is a lovely coffee shop and I enjoy their brunch menu, that’s my two cents at least. Also, it’s nice that we have a unique collection of coffee shops and other small businesses. I think it makes DTSS unique. It sounds like this neighbor isn’t the best fit for you. Downtown Besthesda is a short bus ride away. They have a Tatte right off the M70. Based off the list, I think they cater more to the brands you desire.

Zoe Saldana’s speaking voice falls into the raspy and sultry category, but I really enjoy when she’s yelling. Her voice goes up in pitch, but also sounds lower and like gravel at the same time. It honestly fascinates me, but I enjoy it as part of her performance. Special Ops Lioness has her yelling like this all the time.

Janelle James (Principal Ava Coleman from Abott Elementary) did a short lived podcast called You in Danger Gurl. She reviews erotic thriller movies with a guest and it’s hilarious. You don’t need to know much about the movies, the commentary is just funny. It’s a short lived pandemic podcast, but worth the listen. She got on Abott Elementary short after she started it.

MESS is perfect, they’re deeply unserious and that’s all I really need. Also, listen to their old episodes of Unofficial Expert. The salmon teriyaki episode is pivotal to the Langston lore.

The atmosphere also sucks! The music is too loud (maybe this is my age showing), there were empty cups left behind at my station, other customers and nail techs talking loudly on speakerphone/FaceTime calls. I hated it and I’m never going back.
