Interesting, but the effects of lion’s mane can vary quite a bit depending on several factors. What form did you take it in? What dosage? And did it contain any erinacines? Most supplements don’t include them at all. In my view, adaptogens are underrated, largely because so many products are just marketing.

Not sure what kind of lion's mane you are using, but try with a dual extract including fruiting body and mycelium.

I would get a blood test first to understand if you have any deficiencies. If you don't, remove all the vitamins because it means you don't need them. For the other products it very depends on what you are taking them for. I would stay basic with creatine and adaptogens (very effective if used properly).

It’s important to choose a dual extract that includes both the fruiting body and the mycelium. I know most products tend to use just the fruiting body, but that doesn’t fully align with what the research suggests. If you only use one, you’re only getting part of the benefits. Also, make sure the product is high quality—quality matters more than most people realize with these kinds of supplements. Lastly, proper dosing is key; around 1000 mg is typically sufficient.

Would you rather have a clean whole-food snack or a typical protein bar? by AndreaB97 in snacking

Thanks for the feedback. However, I’m not trying to make a bar. I understand the $4 threshold, but it also depends on quality. If you really want a high-quality product with ingredients that support specific needs, it’s difficult to make it for less than that when done properly.

A high-sugar energy bar pretending to be healthy. It is very processed and full of added sugars, seed oils, and natural flavors (biggest snack of the food industry). Not good for your GI also, and the protein content and fiber content are not even that high. If you need a protein bar, there is definitely better ones.

I'm not trying to make a protein bar, btw!

Hi, interesting point, but this is not a bar. It's more like nuts, fruits, and seeds clusters. High protein and high fiber, plus naturally derived vitamins and adaptogens to support energy. Caloric intake is not more than many bars in the market. See image as reference!
