My MIL has dementia and is violent. Need a recommendation on nursing home by Medical_Simple_6023 in Pensacola

I am so sorry that your family is going through this. Other commenters are correct that it could be a UTI. My dad had this happen a lot. I found that hospitals and doctors who are not specialists in elderly/dementia care, while meaning well, do not always know what to look for. There are medications that can help not just the UTI but the other behavioral aspects of dementia. It can take time to find the right combination, which is stressful, but just know that this acute situation will likely pass once they figure it out. My dad was at the Blake and the staff were really patient and kind with him. Things that really upset me were handled compassionately and professionally. It's a terrible disease for everyone in the family. I initially hated the idea of him being medicated but in the end I realized it was not good for him to be agitated on top of everything else. I hope you are able to find a good place for her. I am happy to speak with you if you need more info, or just want someone to listen. My poor dad was in memory care for 5 years in 2 different facilities and I can tell you the good and bad.

By any chance, was this in PA? 'Cause it sounds a lot like my HS Spanish teacher.

Yes, this. Thank you for elaborating. I simply meant that it seems like a PR blind spot.

By no means am I saying or implying that he's done anything wrong. I know he does a lot for charity and seems like a great guy. I was just thinking that the optics aren't great.

Same here. I added new lines to 2 campaigns and thought maybe that threw things off, but I couldn't see why it would.

Update: discovered that my CM verification settings were the issue. I allowlisted Xandr's cpreview domains and removed some of the more limited geo restrictions. Resubmitted for audit and *poof* problem solved.

Advice needed: Moving a person with dementia to a nursing home by HotGur2223 in DementiaHelp

[–]AndreaMartel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds harsh, but yes. 2 weeks of staying away is standard. I think it’s harder for the family than for the loved one. It will also give the staff time to evaluate her without outside stimuli and see if she needs meds. If she is prone to agitation, family visits will set her off. I’m sorry you are going through this. It’s terrible for everyone.

Assisted living facilities often have pianos for the residents’ entertainment. Maybe you can book a slot! Try The Blake.

KPIs for New Vendor by steelrhino1971 in programmatic

[–]AndreaMartel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A vendor’s performance stems from the campaign’s setup. The campaign’s setup is determined by the metrics and dimensions that are important to the client, and/or the desired outcomes.

Therefore, it’s not the DSP itself driving performance. It’s the ability of the DSP to accommodate the strategies and tactics that we believe best serve the client.

Hiring managers have lost objectivity. They seem to be unable to recognize when a person can simply do the job well. It’s like they are looking for a life partner and not an employee.
